📣📣 INTERNATIONAL DOCK AND TRANSPORT WORKERS AGAINST GENOCIDE

📍 Tilbury Docks, Front Gate, Essex, RM18 7NG

🚝Nearest Station: Tilbury Road, 1-2 min walk from dock site, 20 min travel time from central London.

Dock and transport workers in over 100 ports around the world are taking industrial action on Friday 30th October 2026. They are striking against the supply of weapons and materials that enable Israel’s genocide and system of apartheid, against imperialist wars and for better pay and working conditions at the docks.

This builds on inspiring action taken over the last 2 years by dockworkers in Genoa, Marseille, Bilbao and over 20 other ports around the world in solidarity with Palestine.

Andy Burnham has rejected former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn’s call for an independent inquiry into the UK Government’s complicity in Israel’s Gaza genocide.

Corbyn wrote to Burnham, asking him to back his Private Member’s Bill for a Chilcot-style inquiry and would investigate the UK Government’s military, economic or political co-operation with Israel since its onslaught on Gaza began in October 2023.

Starmer had previously rejected the idea of an inquiry, with the UK Government also confirming in response to a written question on Monday that their position remains unchanged under Burnham.

Corbyn added: “The Government has been complicit in this widespread suffering, and has wilfully attempted to block our efforts to expose the truth.”

You often see us sharing project after project. Delivery after delivery.

Water tankers. Food parcels. Children’s activities. Emergency assistance.

But behind the projects you see is something we’ve been doing quietly for a long time.

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗮𝘇𝗮.

Today, our regular monthly commitments are connected to 48 households, home to 242 people.

That includes 55 children across 32 households, five Qur’an teachers and their families, two elderly couples, and nine members of our Gaza team whose operational stipends help sustain their households.

We don’t often talk about this side of our work. Perhaps we should have done so more.

Because we know many people want to help families in Gaza directly.

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗮 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗼.

These aren’t just numbers on a slide. They’re people we’ve come to know, relationships we’ve built, and commitments we work to honour month after month.

Our regular monthly commitments amount to approximately £6,200.

But donations have declined, and sustaining this support is becoming increasingly challenging.

Our priority now is to protect what we’ve built, while continuing our wider humanitarian projects as funding becomes available.
