What a long strange trip it’s been 🌈📚✍🏼🏙️…well at least for the past 6 months out of the 8 that I’ve been creating as the library poet. To know me is to know I’ve had a love for Philly street and sticker art dating back to when I first moved here in 2013. I see my art next to others I’ve admired, and I’m still in awe with how welcoming this community has been.

Please do me a favor, and just keep chasing your dreams. Don’t listen to the people around you if their words are laced with discouragement, and definitely don’t tune into your inner critic. There’s a future where your dreams are accessible, you just have to keep going. Look to what inspires you, find your reason, and don’t give up.

(If I missed tagging anyone’s art, message or comment to let me know)

➡️SWIPE➡️ Hard to pack all of the goodness of yesterday’s @stepoutsideshow X @artbattlephiladelphia event into one post, but here we go… HUGE thanks to the SOS and Art Battle crews for giving so many artists a space to mix it up on walls and canvases, and for continuing to make Philly the incredible art giant that it is.
.
Had no idea I’d ever paint something in 15 minutes that would sell for over a days pay at my dishwashing job in 2012, but I was blessed to place 1st in Round 1 of the canvas battle and have a kind couple approach me to purchase the piece.
.
Loved trading stickers with so many new people and adding my character to blackbooks and other objects. This community is where it’s at ❤️🍻. Mad love to all my homies and to everyone that came out to contribute and spectate 🪐. Can’t wait for the next Art Battle and Step Outside Show events 💯
