We’d love to tell you sweet little lies and promise these beautiful pieces will be here waiting for you forever. But the truth is… time is running out! 🎨

The North Carolina Statewide Pastel Exhibition is heading home at the end of the month, and to say this show is stunning would be an understatement.

Red dots are already gracing a few pieces (and we love to see it! ❤️), but there’s still so much incredible artwork to discover.

Come see the largest exhibition we’ve ever hosted at The Makery before these masterpieces head off to their next homes!

✨ On display through November 1st. Don’t miss it!

Yes, we are officially halfway through October and just now posting our monthly schedule! 🍂

If we’ve seemed a little quiet on social media lately, we promise there is a very good reason. We have been pouring any extra time into a major behind-the-scenes development (which we can't quite share yet!), and something simply had to give. As a small family business, sometimes aspects of the job, like an in-depth calendar post, have to take a back seat so the actual business can grow.🤷‍♀️😍

Thank you for giving us the grace to be a little quiet online while we build in the background!
But even if we aren't posting quite as much, we are still showing up BIG for you in person this season. We had to make a few adjustments to the calendar due to last week's weather, but here is exactly where you can find us for the rest of this beautiful fall month:

Where We’ve Been:
* Oct 4: AutumnFest (Southern Pines) & Wake Forest Farmers Market

* Oct 9: Candle Making Class at the Imperial Mercantile (Kings Mountain)

* Oct 10: (Rained out by the weather for Mountaineer Days & the Farmers Market!)

Where We Are Heading:
* Oct 16: Cary Night Market (hosted by The Night Market Co.) | 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM

* Oct 17 (Triple Header!):
Holly Arts and Crafts Festival (Pinehurst) 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Ferrell Supply Market 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Wake Forest Farmers Market 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

* Oct 24: Lexington BBQ Festival 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Wake Forest Farmers Market 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

* Oct 31: Wake Forest Farmers Market 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Grab a coffee, put on your favorite cozy sweater, and come see us! Which event are you heading to this month? 👇

It’s another jam-packed weekend! Friday evening we’re at Oak City Brewing Company since last weekend’s market was rained out. Then Saturday the farmers market is boosted by Wake Forest’s Boo Bash, and Sunday we return to Wolfe & Porter for their latest market. Just a reminder, we’re out of town next weekend so stock up now!

🎨CALLING ALL ARTISTS🎨

Wake Forest Downtown & Public Art Commission issue Downtown Boulevard Banner “Call for Artists”

Wake Forest Downtown (WFD), Inc. and the Wake Forest Public Art Commission (PAC) are seeking local artists to submit vibrant original artwork for “Community in Motion” boulevard banners in downtown Wake Forest.

“Community in Motion” celebrates the energy, creativity, and connections that make Wake Forest a vibrant place to live, work, and gather. Artists are encouraged to explore how people, nature, and ideas move together to shape and strengthen the community. Designs should evoke a sense of vitality, collaboration, and forward movement while offering a unique artistic interpretation.

The online artwork submission form is available at https://bit.ly/CallforArtists_WFPAC. The application deadline is Friday, Oct. 30. Selected artists will be notified by Monday, Nov. 16.

Selections will be chosen by a committee comprised of members of the PAC and WFD, Inc. and selected artists will receive a $100 honorarium.

The banners will be displayed along South White Street from early January through late March 2027. The banners may also be displayed at other times as determined by the Downtown Development Director.

For more information, visit https://bit.ly/CallforArtists_WFPAC or contact Renaissance Centre Arts Coordinator April Cannon at acannon@wakeforestnc.gov.
