The best hosts got hitched; congratulations to @oconrm8 & James!!

I can’t stfu about this because @oliviaboyceidigo and I have known each other half our lives. 😭😭😭😭

Can you believe I hemmed this dress an hour before the wedding? 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽

Successfully guessed the red to be a Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley but it was a 2022, and not a 2023. 😭

Who knew that the late nights at the @wfuogb office would bring us here? 😍 @wfualumni @wfuniversity

Cannot believe THIS is the picture @oconrm8 chose of us from our @wfufellows year to display on his friends and family wall at his wedding.

It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day, but every now and then something reminds you just how far you’ve come.

A regular customer and friend from @startgallerywfu brought us this Old Gold & Black from October 2019 with a story about our little shop from when we first opened. What a gift to look back on when it all began. Thanks to y’all for being part of our story, then and now. ✨🤍

Meet Jill Yoder — the writer behind "Kneading Community," a beautiful feature from last semester. This piece takes you inside the pottery studio at Sawtooth School for Visual Art, where people from all walks of life come together over clay and discover something far more lasting than what they make with their hands. It's a story about creativity, connection, and the communities we find in unexpected places.

Y’all arent gonna like this one, but we have to ask: when a “community agency” is sponsored by the companies that built financial empires off of local Black labor (looking at you, Reynolds American), what do they owe Black taxpayers - by extension, all taxpayers - in return?

Right now, our community and the nation as a whole have a choice: are we going to continue to use public resources to criminalize, terrorize, abandon, and exclude Black children, teens, and young adults? Are we going to enforce curfews and convictions, or are we going to demand care and #community #investment? Are we going to pay for institutions embedded in long histories of white supremacy without asking if their efforts to #repair that harm are #good enough? Will we dare to ask if our return on investment is good enough?

Will we #demand more: more care from ourselves, more support from the community agencies we fund, and more investment from the companies that whitewash their reputations by associating themselves with major nonprofits?

#y’all we got started digging into @cityofwinstonsalem’s #local grantees’… and we have more #questions, this time about @wakereynolda’s endowment and #access to #public dollars.
