The Skin Recovery Collection started with an idea from Dani Harmer, who wanted a collection of Obvs products for her friend with TSW.

Amy Wilson helped me think about what people living with TSW actually want and need.

Rebecca Ebbage shared her TSW experience, helped shape the collection and came up with the name Skin Recovery Collection.

Ruth Holroyd, author and blogger behind What Allergy, brought her experience of eczema, allergies and TSW to the conversation too.

And the important bit? They’re all Obvs customers. They’ve tried the products and helped me choose what went into this collection.

So this isn't a collection made for the TSW community without listening to them.

It’s been shaped by people living it. 🤍

Topical Steroid Withdrawal can be an incredibly difficult experience, physically and emotionally.

Can't believe it's a month since the Allergy & Free From Show. I had a blast, meeting new people and also meeting clients in person, some for the first time!

For anyone struggling with eczema, TSW or allergies there is a wealth of support out there, don't just accept your diagnosis. Find your community to support your journey, whatever that may look like. Below are some of the people I met and I wanted to share their work with you.

@shans_allergy_ for some amazing resources for people with food allergies, including food allergy journals, allergy wristbands, allergy badges etc...
@suppla_wear for clothing with some extra healing support woven into the fabric!
@jenniferaustinhypnotherapy for mental health support for those struggling emotionally with health issues.
@itchhikers_guide to learn about Oscars journey to manging his skin
@benellispastrychefchocolatier for amazing chocolates that are free from nasties and taste absolutely devine!

Of course thanks to @balmonds_skincare @eczema_clothing & @whatallergy for including me on the skin in menopause panel.

I'm looking forward to heading back next year.

Sometimes it doesn’t feel real.

Over the last 3 years my body has been broken, my brain has tested me and there were times I thought I wouldn’t be able to get past it.

Now again I am not healed (I don’t think you can ever say that with #eczema) but I am close. I am letting my skin breathe more this year but I still see the past, I still see the blackouts, I still see the pain.

Whilst most people would think I’m just a girl taking off her jumper, it took a lot to get me there.

I am glad I kept going, I am glad I stayed.

Allergy & Free From Show Voices 💚

As exciting as the main stage felt, it was a privilege seeing so many other community members shine at the @balmonds_skincare Skin Hub! Such engaging presentations and thoughtful advice shared.

Saturday highlights:

🫱🏻‍🫲🏼 TSW Together hosted by @itchscratchrepeat and @calmawithjanna: They allowed space for community members to share their stories and perspectives (and shared about the next @tswtogether meetup in Belfast!)

🥰 Meeting the brands: Such a lovely time to hear from our biggest supporters. They even sat down with us and chatted about our ideas and dreams in this space. Some brands I know I'm grateful for are @eczema_clothing, @silverguard_uk, @codexlabs, @olssonhaircare, @westlabsalts (sad they weren't in attendance), @ampernaskin (way down in Aussie!) and had a lovely conversation with @elaveskincare. Can't wait to chat with @suppla_wear as well!

🙌🏾 TSW & Eczema Skin of Color with @eczemawithharrii
, @yasitskrishy , and Jitash. They absolutely killed it! Such a team effort and left with more to think about in terms of inclusivity and representation.

Sunday highlights:

🤓 Managing Expections with our Skin w/ @jenniferaustinhypnotherapy : I never want to miss a Jen talk. They are always extremely insightful, dedicating time to our phsychological barriers and needs.

😎 Midlife Skin with @whatallergy , Jo, and others: Sometimes things can become even more complicated as we age -- esp menopause. I missed a bit, but love how these women know how to educate on this special subject with encouragement.

🤩 The ups and downs of a life online w/ @mackies_moments and @lifeoflowri : I love these two so much! Great advice on how to navigate bullies, focus on those that matter, and how to protect your peace. When being a presence online, it can come with some tough hurdles. These women know how to handle it all with dignity and grace.

Overall, what a special event. So proud of all of the speakers! 💚 I can't wait to see what 2027 has in store! Thank you @allergyfreefromshow 💛
