Nothing about LA Marathon 2026 went according to plan from the very beginning.

After parking at Century City Mall, I couldn’t find a bathroom and had to get on the shuttle without going. The shuttle got stuck in terrible traffic, and after getting off I stood in the bathroom line stressing out, but it barely moved. I never made it to the bathroom, missed my corral, and had to start way behind. With all the chaos, I was already overwhelmed, and right before the start I completely broke down and cried.

But the race didn’t get easier.

My stomach started acting up and I had to stop at bathrooms multiple times. Around mile 8 or 9 I was really struggling. The heat was brutal and my body didn’t feel right.

From that point on, quitting kept creeping into my mind.

But each time I told myself: just one more mile.

Make it to the Beverly Hills downhill.
Make it to the Bravo zone where my @koreatownrunclub friends were cheering.

So I kept going.

Somewhere along the way I started thinking about the past year. Getting laid off, navigating uncertainty, trying to figure out what comes next. Another setback. Suddenly this marathon felt a lot like life.

And eventually, somehow, I crossed the finish line.

This was the hottest and the most mentally challenging race I’ve run. But it reminded me that even when everything feels like it’s falling apart, if you keep moving forward, one step at a time, you might still get to the finish line.

Huge shout out to @koreatownrunclub for the incredible energy at the Bravo zone…that moment gave me the push I needed to keep going to the finish ❤️‍🔥

@karinyamaz the ice water literally saved me from passing out in the heat 🥹🧊

And my cheering squad @zzimminn @manda.lynnx @jaydenfocus @bk.kim45 @christynamkungg Thank you for coming out to cheer in that heat🥵❤️

Life feels a little like that race right now.
But if I could finish that marathon, I think I can get through this season too.

One step at a time.

BROTHERHOOD - HYROX VEGAS 2026. Probably the hardest thing I ever done post Survivor and had no idea how our legs would hold up while recovering from illness but couldn’t have asked for a better partner to finish our first @hyroxamerica. I totally now understand why it’s not just like a fitness competition but a total community and there’s so many things we can improve on for next time.

Thank you to all to friends who came to cheer us on and for everyone who supported me the past 5 weeks! Truly grateful for this experience and being able to muster up the courage to do this. NEXT STOP HYROX NY HERE WE COME!
