10 facts no one asked about / Meet the Reader

I was tagged by the wonderful @finals_little_library in a "10 facts about myself that nobody asked for" challenge and as I realized I never did a proper "Meet the Reader" post, I decided to combine both.
So in the following you'll find an assortment of 10 (random) facts about me and my reading journey 🙌

1. I have a degree in Computer Science
I would love to become self-employed with that at some point in my life, given the opportunity 👨‍💻

2. I started studying at a really young age (17) but finished quite late(26)
I just couldnt be bothered to do it in the standard period
If it weren't for my university freezing progress control due to Covid, that actually wouldnt have been possible 👨‍🎓

3. I'm originally from the countryside, but moved to one of Germanys biggest cities when I was 17
Eventually my partner and I want to go back though, as the city is nice for a time but not for ever 🏡
(Also who can pay these rents anymore)

4. I have been my own hairdresser for the last ~8 years
My hairstyle mostly was "just let it grow and see what happens" or "we'll do a bun and shave the sides" so it was possible without any skills
I recently decided to go bald though (no saving for that hairline anymore) and I am so happy with it 👨‍🦲

5. I have five tattoos and want to get a bookish one in the future
Maybe even a bookish patch sleeve on the still free arm 🐉
I'm thinking about imagery like a Mistborn Glyph, a Red Rising Howler symbol, the symbol for Obiteum/Res/Luceum, etc.

6. I love to cook and especially to try new dishes/cuisines
My favorite one to cook is the asian cuisine
If I had to choose my go-to-dish whenever I cook for other people it would be Peanut-Lime chicken on rice 👨‍🍳

7. My most visited travel destination are the Netherlands 🇳🇱
I have been there more than 10 times already
This month I went with a group of friends (including my girlfriend) and we loved it so much again that we already booked another stay in the Netherlands for the end of august

Books You Associate Me With 🌹❤️
QOTD: Did I miss any?👀😂

I saw @laurensreadingrainbow do this a while back and I thought it was such a fun challenge!

A few weeks ago I asked what books come to mind when you think of me and it’s safe to say that 95% of the answers were either Eden or Blake Crouch related😭 I do think this selection sums me up as a reader perfectly though, and it did end up limiting the amount of Crouch I used 😂

Also EDEN is a week old today! Thank you so much to everyone who has brought a copy and has read it so far. I really appreciate all the love and I’m genuinely so blown away by the support🥲 ly guys fr, you all really are the best 🖤

June Dune ‘stack’ 📚✨

Thank you so much for the tag in June stack challenge @shona_reads_in_devon & @raven_reads666 reads 🫶 as you can see, I gave it a really good go 😂

I had a very good start with letter ‘J’ then immediate failure on letter ‘U’ - as it turns out I’m still missing the ‘U’ book (which is crazy considering I’m buying new books all the time!)

So for the end of June I’m rocking up Dune!
Sounds about right, right? 😅

Safe to say my July stack will not be happening either but I’m challenging you lovely people to stack JULY if you are able to - have fun! 📚✨
