It’s been a helluva week around here. Things are slowly beginning to thaw out, thankfully, but it’s not over yet. We’re continuing to count our blessings - we have power and safe water, for now; many still do not.

I’m posting this #lonestarbookstack because the amazing @whimsyreadswithshelby - a fellow Texan - and several other wonderfully generous bookstagrammers are donating to local Texas charities for each stack posted through today! My thanks and love to @whatkreads for bringing this to my attention! (The cozies are in your honor!)

I’m personally donating to my local food bank and to #thefamilyplacedallas, a local domestic violence organization that had a pipe burst in their largest emergency shelter, forcing them to move many women and children to an off-site location. They are in desperate need.

I’m thinking of all my fellow Texans who are in need right now - sending love and warmth to you all! Thanks again to the incredibly generous bookstagram community for your kind support! ❤️

2020 will go down in history as one of the longest and hardest years of my life. Things have finally started to turn around for me as I been in a personal rut going on four years. Don’t even get me started on that. 😒
⠀
This year I’m thankful for surviving my surgery, staying COVID-19 free (fingers and toes crossed) and for the new friendships I have made over the last few months. Some of these folks came into my life just when I needed them and I won’t forget everything you have done for me these last few months. Some have been around since day one.

I did my best to tag everyone, but I always feel like I’m missing someone. So if you ever sent me a message asking me how I’m doing, shouted me out, sent words of encouragement right when I was ready to throw in the damn towel on here or sent me a book to cheer me up. In the words of Biggie, this goes out to you. *raise glass* Grateful post.

Weekend Check In... 💕
How is everyone holding up as we move closer to May and still staying at home? 💕
We still have boxes & items stocked in the shop. May box will go up this week & will also start the monthly subscription sign up. •
We will have to mail May box later than we would like, Covid-19 has delayed alot for us all. Please be understanding. •
We will also release May Sub box theme this week. Due to Covid: we had to move our boxes to future months due to book publishing dates being moved.

We are going to have Blog posts -vs- a newsletter. This will make it easier for both of us to just add to it. This week we will have Interviews with both authors from April Box. •
