This show was absolutely amazing. Huge shoutout to @belmontbatcave for making such an awesome night happen. And a big thank you for allowing me to be a part of it!

@theroostergastonia As always was the perfect venue for this. There isn't a venue around that could pulled this off and made this show feel as good as it did besides them.

@whatsajanedoe is a great DJ. Their mixes were fun and interesting. She got the crowd warmed up before the show and kept everyone moving between sets. She made it feel like the action never really stopped. Also she's super sweet.

@nihilistmilitia.nc Straight killed it. They sounded amazing, they sounded absolutely evil. These dudes have earned their spot on my playlists and they will not be leaving it any time soon. I cannot wait to see them again.

@yamalokahc Was so freaking good. The stage presence was absolutely jaw dropping. Their style of hardcore is right up my alley and some of my favorite music. If I hadn't been there with camera gear I would've been in the pit their entire set. Its a safe bet that you'll be seeing me in many of their pits at their shows around the Carolinas.

@antagonizor.fl Is absolutely a new favorite. The music was awesome and fun. The show was energetic, funny, and extremely engaging. The lead singer has so much Charisma it slaps you in the face before she even takes the stage. She was absolutely throwing down as part of the crowd when Nihilist Militia was playing. And, to top it all off, she's one of the nicest people I've ever talked too. I cannot wait to catch them live again.

If you're not catching local shows, you're absolutely missing out. Everyone who preformed at this show was amazing, entertaining, and put on a better show than some huge names I've spent hundreds of dollars to see live.

Support local music.

“Scenes from the Mud”
A Quick Look at the Musical Gathering Known as Lotus Theory

The brain child of @whatsajanedoe , a Charlotte DJ quickly on the come up, & @belmontbatcave , an alternative thrift store that simultaneously hosts shows for the underground scenes within Charlotte & the surrounding areas, “Lotus Theory” was a beautiful outdoor gathering of local vendors & live musical performances.

As the lotus flower rises from the mud, these 4 upcoming artist rose to the stage, each with their own equine sound, & gave the crowd a taste of the music they have been curating & practicing behind the scenes. Their love for their craft undeniable, each artist gave the crowd a dance, a song, a moment, that onlookers will surely not soon forget.🪷
