Opened a box in a Brooklyn storage unit recently and found the evil Ark of the Covenant...maybe better.

Twenty-ish years ago Venge Records pressed End of All's "Paradise Burning." The last CDs of that run have been sitting in that box for 2+ decades, untouched, waiting.

Today they go back to the band.

Most people here don't know I ran a record label in my twenties.

Venge punched well above it's weight class as a solo label in a sea of amazing label - many of my peers still churning out amazing tunes to this day.

It was entirely a labor of love. Some of my favorite years.

I just put out the music I loved and knew others would love - period. That was the only criteria.

End of All was one of the bands that made the whole thing worth the blood, sweat and stress.

"Paradise Burning" is, to this day, one of the heaviest records I've ever helped put out.

Brutal in the way real metal is brutal, but weird, smart, and unhinged. The muscianship and writing is off the charts. A VERY serious metal record that, at the same time, doesn't take itself too seriously and is way more terrifying for it.

@lambgoat reviewed it back in 2004 and called it "fun, absurd metal that thrives on a sense of pure, unadulterated evil absurd." They've been at it since 1999, longer than most of the bands they cover, and that review still holds true because the record still holds true.

Today this last box gets on a truck.

If you've never spun this record, fix that however you can. Maybe even own a piece of underground metal history.

@endofallnc - Paradise Burning. Venge Records, 2004.

Still as absolutely badass as the day the tunes were written.
