To be completely honest with you, I am having really hard time deciding whether I liked Costa Rica or not. On one hand you have some of the most incredible nature, animals everywhere, I got to see sloths, I saw some amazing beaches and did some incredible things, but yet — it wasn’t enough. Because on the other hand you have crazy amount of tourist, whole regions basically turned into little United States, high prices and poor public transportation system. Costa Rica is NOT a backpacking destination. There were many places that I wanted to visit but simply couldn’t without renting a car, or paying hundreds of dollars for a taxi.

Costa Ricans are some of the nicest and most positive humans I got to meet, and it is a pity that due to the number of tourist your interactions with them are very limited.

I am happy that I got to visit, some places I liked more, some less, but that’s the beauty of travel - you visit new places, you discover them in your own way, and it is completely okay not to fall in love with every single of them.

If you get to visit Costa Rica here are my highlights:

🚣‍♂️ Rafting in La Fortuna
💦 @maquiqueadventurecostarica challenge in La Fortuna - i have to tell you all about it - it’s me on the first pic going down a 60m waterfall 🫠
🐋 Uvita Beach in Parque Nacional Marino Ballena
🍦 Trits ice cream sandwich
🍋 Bites & Sights Walking San Jose Experience - book via airbnb
