As we say hello to 2025 we wanted to quickly reflect on 2024.

2024, what a year you have been. The year we finally opened our doors to the public. A year full of ups and downs, stress, panic, hard work, smiles, laughter and good times (and the odd hangover).

Thank you to everyone who has supported us in 2024 to make all of this madness happen. Customers, staff and volunteers alike, we couldn’t have done any of this without you.

Here’s to 2025 and more of the same!

Opening at Dunkers Kulturhus 💥🇸🇪💗

Friday we opened ‘Extended Senses’ a second time - this time at Dunkers and what a day! 😻 We’re so grateful for all the support this project has received from so many organizations and people in the two cities 🙏💕

Opening tomorrow! ⚡️❤️‍🔥🔊

Tomorrow we open a new artistic sound experience that you can experience in Elsinore. LYDSPOR conveys stories other than those we are used to hearing about the city and uses sonic augmentation / AR to engage the audience.

Sound is something we experience immediately - it is also fleeting and temporary; unless it is stored, it disappears immediately. But what if the sound left traces that we could listen to through technology? What if one could extend our listening to be able to hear how the city sounded 400 years ago? LYDSPOR examines what it would be like if we could use technology to listen to the past.

LYDSPOR has been created in a unique collaboration across a number of partners IT University and AIR lab with the fantastic researchers Jonas Fritsch, Stina Hasse Jørgensen, Vasiliki Tsaknaki, Karin Ryding, Halfdan Hauch Jensen, Museerne Helsingør and Line Brun Stallknecht, Bylab and Laura Albeck Ibsen as well as artist and designer Ada Fogh, While Loops, sound designer Finn Markwart and playwright Sophie Zinckernagel. On Friday we open ‘Extended Senses’! 💕 We investigate how we can extend our bodies and senses and maybe be able to experience nature and the city in new ways? 🌿

The Danish collective Healthy Mind Tech has developed a sensor system for the city that is distributed through the citizens making the data flow from every corner of the city as a network of impressions 🕸

The data is streamed to a central installation created by the Swedish collective where it’ll be translated into pulsating light in bright colors. It’ll be the heart of the installation and be an abstract portrait of the city and the data from the sensors.

Join us on Friday from 16-18 🙏 And in June the work will travel to Helsingborg and be shown at Dunkers Kulturhus 🌟

How can we connect light, nature and data in a meaningful way?

Johan Gelinder and Emil Berzén are working on the design of the installation we will show in collaboration with the City of Helsingborg this spring.
Johan and Emil are inspired by the sea, the way the light is reflected and the stones that are found everywhere on the beach. Right now, they are exploring how this inspiration can be coupled with data visualization. The video is one of their prototypes. We look forward to showing you the final result!

The goal of the project is to create relationships between people and nature through the collection of data across the Sound. Healthy Mind Tech collects data from nature and people in the cities and it is expressed via light in the installation.

The project is a collaboration between Catch in Helsingør Municipality, H22 City Expo. The work will be shown in both cities in 2022.

Kan vi genom konst och tech ta reda på hur vi mår i Helsingborg och Helsingör? Det ska initiativet Över Sundet utforska i ett samarbete mellan danska och svenska konstnärer, designers och utvecklare. Tillsammans gör de en ljusinstallation, som kommer att ställas ut på Dunkers under H22 City Expo nästa år. Nu har arbetet kommit igång och både prototyper och skisser börjar ta form.

Installationen skapas utifrån data insamlad från utplacerade sensorer i städerna, och från berättelser som invånare får dela med sig av via en app. Förhoppningen är också att samla in information från sociala medier, för att ytterligare känna på stämningar om vad som pågår i städerna.
