WHIMM - No Promotion
@whimm_

Written by Louise Jaunet

WHIMM - No Promotion
@whimm_

"Toronto duo WHIMM solidify their sound and deliver their most ambitious and connected release to date. Krautrock meets electonic ambient meets psych on this new album which features enginnering from Patrick Flegel (aka Cindy Lee)."

Just a reminder: if you think your music belongs here and you don't have a Bandcamp account, you need to send me your music. I DON'T know what to do with Spotify links, and I'm NOT interested in ambient, drone, trap, or similar genres.

Out October 2nd - WHIMM “No Promotion” LP from @w.25th

Long-awaited new release by Toronto post-punk duo, @whimm_

Ideas seep out of every corner of No Promotion, showcasing a burning desire to explore and challenge while delivering very direct sonic offerings. The result is an album that feels as if you took the entire Coil discography and smashed it into pieces, assembling these precious songs from the fragments. Or as if Vangelis beckoned Section 25 to the studio in hopes of recording the score to a seedy film. The resulting LP is in a state of flux—equal parts motion and decay.

Four tracks are produced by Cindy Lee’s Patrick Flegel.

Get it here, or request it at your favorite record store!
