Past month visiting Van after being away❤️
Some of the more special times I’ve spent with my friends. Something about temporariness brings out tenderness. Not to mention the only reason I existed this past month was because of other people. I think most of my time in Van was paid for/given to me and I tried my best to spend my money on others. Not to get all Sauder School of Business but gift economy does free the soul. Palace said it with “Live well and you reap what you sow”. Anyways, im now going to try to thank as many people as possible. Thank you to: Aja for giving me a bath towel, Maria for making me laugh and breakfast every morning, Eryn for teaching me how to tie flyfishing knot, introducing me to stamps, and giving me a slackline. Ava for coming to hangout on the slackline and Abby for the same, on top of some stellar convos. Speaking of stellar convos, Jolene. Teagan for becoming instant best friend and going mountain biking. Sarah for lending me said bike. Speaking of new friend, Audrey. Jolene again cause fuck it imma thank a hoe twice. Sorry language. Wyatt, Andie, Sydney, Song, Talyn, Leah, Lucy, Sterling, Surf Club folk. For vibes. Friends I went to Local with. Cold plunge people. Zoë for, in simple terms, living life with me. Lapses 2 is a combination of 200 photos all taken 49.8 seconds apart, over the duration of 4 hours (4:30pm-8:30pm). 200 photos are then printed on four 44x88 inch semi matte prints (50 photos on each print). Cutting two prints into vertical strips and the other two into horizontal strips, I then weave the four prints together to create one image.
