What a brilliant day for High Peak Open Studios: Buxton. The sun was shining and the town was full of energy and visitors.
Artists across Buxton have already been busy setting up. @nybor.g work looks completely at home against the brick walls at @beerandbeancafebar , while @gemmaseaburyprints linoprints sit beautifully on the walls at The Herb Bistro. @poppy.illo has been drawing a crowd at @dtlifeclothing with her wood carving demonstrations, and @designsinsilver has settled perfectly into the relaxed atmosphere at @onnen_buxton
@hot_chocolaterie and @whisperingbirdart are a perfect pairing of chocolate and art.

There is still plenty to enjoy, including more Lego mosaic making with @brickcornerontheroad at the community space tomorrow and Monday.
We were blown away by the incredible GCSE and A-level artwork at Buxton Community School, and it was great to see @jennygsmithart at @thedukeburbage
Some highlights not to miss include Peak Arts Therapies, a warm and welcoming space just a short walk from the town centre, @buxtonpumproom which was full of activity today, and the cool, calm atmosphere of St John’s Church – a perfect retreat from the bustle of town.

Make sure to visit Sarah at More Care Design Collective in Burbage, where she has been busy in the workshop and also makes a very good cup of tea.

Pick up a trail and explore – there is so much still to see.

See you all again tomorrow!
