Bestselling teen author Gianna Joy Guzman talks candidly about suicide and depression with @jenmallanministries on @ctnonline and remembers asking, “Why am I here?” @withlovegiannajoy wrote her first book, God Sees Us, at only 15 years old to help other teens who struggle with similar questions and those wondering if anyone cares about them or would anyone even notice if they weren’t here. ❤️‍🩹 🙏🏼 Watch the full interview or learn more at GodSeesUsBook.com

What dream has God placed in your heart that you’re still waiting to pursue? 🪽❤️

If you had told me years ago that Josh and I would write a book together, I probably would have laughed! 😂 But here we are, still pinching ourselves!

These past few months have been filled with so many surreal moments. Opening our first box of books, signing copies, celebrating our launch, and watching God use our story to encourage marriages. 🥹❤️

Here’s what I’ve learned: You don’t have to have it all figured out to take the first step.

Sometimes you just have to say YES, trust God with the process, and jump and build your wings along the way! 🪽

Don’t let fear, uncertainty, or the need to have everything perfectly planned keep you from pursuing what God has placed in your heart.

You never know what’s waiting on the other side of your YES! ❤️

And speaking of saying YES… would anyone be interested in hearing the behind-the-scenes journey of how we wrote and published our first book? Because WOW, have we learned SO much along the way! 😂📖

Let me know in the comments! 👇

A funny thing happened when I began to pray scripture over my children... When I was first introduced to Million Praying Moms and the teachings of my dear friend @brookemcglothlin my daughter was 2 and in the tantrum-throwing phase. I remember feeling helpless and unsure how to help her or how to parent her in those moments. One particular morning, the fit was over the top and I remeber looking up at heaven and saying, “Lord, I don’t know what to do. I need help.” That afternoon, I interviewed Brooke for the first time on @thechoosingcheerpodcast and she taught me how to pray scripture over my children. I went home that afternoon and using Brooke’s download guide, crafted my first scripture-inspired prayer for my girl. When I began to pray for patience, peace and joy for my daughter, I wasn’t ready for the way that the Lord would reveal to me the work that needed to be done in my own heart. I began to notice all the ways I was responding in anger and short-tempered. It’s as if he whispered to me and said, “how will she know what patience is if you don’t show her?” I wasn’t prepared for the way the Lord would use my prayers for my children to reveal to me the areas of growth in my own heart. That’s my hope for this book. I hope as we study the Word of God together, you are moved to pray for your children. But my friend, may the change start in us.

Fall is settling in around here, and I’ve been having so much fun cozying up the house for the season! 🪴🍂

One thing you’ll always find in my home, no matter the season? LOTS of plants! 😂

I love mixing houseplants with my favorite vintage finds, organic seasonal decor, and cozy textures to make our home feel warm, welcoming, and full of life.

And that’s a big part of what inspired my new book, Filling Your Home with Life, which is officially out in the world!

Inside, I’m sharing how to choose the right houseplants for your space, where to put them so they’ll thrive, how to care for them, and creative ways to style them throughout your home.

With the outdoor gardening season winding down, it’s the perfect time to bring more of that gardening life indoors!

Comment BOOK below and I’ll send you the link to grab a copy! 🌻🪴🍂

Words spoken in seconds can leave wounds that take years to heal. 💔

In marriage, it’s not just about WHAT we say, but HOW we say it.

In moments of frustration, it’s easy to speak out of emotion rather than love. But words spoken in anger can leave lasting scars on the heart of the person we love most.

Marriage isn’t about winning arguments. It’s about protecting the heart of the person you’ve promised to love.

Before you speak, ask yourself:
❤️ Is it kind?
❤️ Is it necessary?
❤️ Will it build up or tear down?

And if you’ve spoken words that were unkind, harsh, hurtful, or careless, take a moment to humble yourself, repent, and ask for forgiveness. Don’t allow pride to keep you from making things right. A sincere apology, followed by changed behavior, can begin to heal what careless words have wounded.

You can’t always take back your words, but you can take responsibility for them and choose to speak differently moving forward.

“Let your speech always be with grace.” — Colossians 4:6

❤️ Let’s be intentional about speaking life, love, and encouragement into our marriages.
