Opened in August, it’s a welcome new addition to the area and a handy coffee stop if you’re exploring that side of Ormeau Park.

They’re serving Belfast’s own White Star Coffee, alongside local cakes, Basque cheesecake and vegan and gluten-free options.

Muchas gracias for all the love Ireland…

The first ever @belfastcoffeefestival was an absolute banger! Not only our trusted & talented farmers from Colombia with our ready to taste selection of 21 beautiful lots were the stars of the show: we featured roasters from all over Ireland for the festival to see, taste and feel what local talent supplied with delicious beans is producing in this beautiful island we all call home.

Many thanks to each one of our existing customers who dropped your gorgeous coffee bags, stopped at our stand and last but no least for your trust, for believing in our work and for your support to local businesses. Also many thanks to all the customers-to-be who engaged with us all weekend and tasted what we had prepared for everyone to enjoy.

We really felt the love and it does encourage us to keep doing what we do and to increase our reach as far and wide as possible!

We’re super excited to announce that we will be attending this year’s WOC in Brussels with our own stand - find us at booth 11183(!!!) next to the roasters village in hall 11!

In the past months, we’ve spent a lot of time working on a booth design that gives a platform to the smallholders we are so honored to work with and that form the backbone of both our work but also our whole industry, yet are rarely found and even less likely to be the center of these fairs.

Thus, we’re even happier to welcome Jhon Jairo Gomez, Judith Ortega, Karen Burbano and Karol Ortega from the Monkaaba group in San Agustin, Huila, who will be with us at our booth all three days, as well as Kabuuka Elimethidas from Fort Portal in Uganda, who’s leading our newest project in the Rewonzori Mountains with Empaako Collective. You’ll have a chance to chat and learn from them directly about the reality of smallholders in the respective regions as well as insights and updates from origin, and get to try some beautiful renditions of their coffees from some fantastic roasters, too!

Since none of this would have been possible without all the great roasteries that decided to walk this path with us and our partner growers, we wanted to host as many of them as possible at our stand. Each one will brew coffee at our booth for 1.5h each, so whenever you’re in need of a coffee, stop by for a chat, and check the schedule for slot times!

A huge thank you goes to @fellowproducts and @johannjacobshaus for providing equipment for the brew bars!

Every day, we will also host one cupping, sharing some of the first samples from this year's harvest. On Saturday, Eli himself will guide you through our Uganda cupping, including some naturals right off the drying beds.
At 15:00 every day, Karl Wienhold, author of @cheapcoffeebook , will be accompanied by different roasters for an open discussion and chat about recent developments of the industry and the supply chain - everyone is welcome to listen, join in and of course grab a book, too :-)

Arved, Brendan, Rachel and Wilts of Semilla will be at the booth everyday, and we’re more than excited to welcome you there! See you all soon 💚
