🫀Heart rate - the number of times the heart beats per minute, and is directly related to the workload being placed on the heart.

When we get regular movement (or exercise) our heart gets stronger and therefore when we push ourselves and our heart needs to pump faster, it actually doesn’t have to pump AS fast as our heart gets stronger.

The first picture is my initial heart rate zones (post workout picture) from July 9, 2023 (yes over a year ago) and the second is today’s. Those ranges all went down which is excellent!! That’s the goal - your heart to work less when you’re pushing in your workout. That means your heart is getting to be more efficient!! Woot woot!! *the calibration ride is supposed to be done every 6 weeks… so I’m just a LITTLE late!!*

What do you use to track your long term progress?

When you have to dive into your DRIVE to get your workout done on a Sunday afternoon.

Being sore is one of the main reasons I put off my workouts. There’s a certain amount of soreness threshold before I don’t want to workout again. It’s not pain but more of a major annoyance rather than a minor annoyance. Once the soreness hits that “major” annoyance level, I have to rely on my DRIVE to keep moving forward and even sometimes my DRIVE isn’t enough. 😕

But that’s all okay because I am not looking for perfection. I’m looking for consistency and progress. Progress isn’t a straight line and consistency is built over time through repeating the same task (this case workouts) as frequently as possible.

If you are looking for accountability, consistency and progress, join my team and I for the upcoming 2 for 25. 2 tasks a day for 25 days in August - complete 2 miles OR 25 minutes of movement AND complete a personal development task (GrowthDay daily fire, GrowthDay lesson, listen to a personal development podcast/book, journal, etc) and share with the group for the accountability.

Message me 2for25 if you want in on this!! We start Monday August 6.
