After looking back through photos, can confirm that August was a fever dream

Traveled to Whidbey Island with family for a celebration of life ceremony, left feeling *so* grateful for family and time together. Forrester Clan 4 lyfe ✨

The PNW is just pretty

Walks + talks, group dinners, sunset watching, bird watching + plant identification, and snake catching @whitforrester (which we found out was passed down to the youngest Forrester generation too)

The lesson was bring your Polaroid and let your cousin’s kids play with it

Seattle’s waterfront park was gorgeous, felt like an amazing example of striking a balance between aesthetic and rewilding. Less grass and more layered vegetation

Got home and got right to sending in modeling self tape requests

Finalized some material choices for our home reno @tilesofezra

Played and caught up with @tinarichdesign

Sent out a gallery I photographed for the incredibly sweet @valentinainteriordesign that I’m so proud of

Finished mold remediation (woof) and started putting everything back together at our house

Moved out of a rental and moved in with Trav’s mom while we wait for the house to finish up, soooo grateful to have family nearby we can lean on. Also soooo excited to not be living out suitcases + garbage bags

Our @theislaporter vanities arrived and we can start to really see things taking shape

For August, I knew I wanted to bring out alpine whites. When it’s the height of summer heat, there’s nothing better than a bottle that transports you to meadows, mountains, and streams. So, I made sure Kevin Wardell of Artisan Wines could guest pour as he and I both light up to the tune of alpine. We narrowed in on an Austrian Gemischter Satz field blend to a Petite Arvine from Valle d’Aosta and the ‘Jardin des Vignes’ or garden of vines that build the Alsace selection. Mineral, often floral, and high acid, these are the wines I reach for in August. @saintclaire_neworleans

Dreaming of sky gazing last spring… a new frontier for my relationship with the sky, eternally grateful for @theleagueofstars and @luzpeuscovich for quite literally expanding my horizons.

It’s taken me about a year to compost the lessons and learnings that have spiraled since Saturn first dipped its toes into Aries last spring. Since that week spent sitting under the sky every night, listening to stories that have carried their medicine across time and space and continue to land in the lap of those who listen.

I’m grateful to find myself in those listening spaces.

Now more than ever am I aware of how healing it can be to tell (& listen to!) a story — your own or one that has landed in your lap. Now more than ever do I feel that narrative, that storytelling, is a core and ancient aspect of being human. The humbling, writhing, and awe-inducing humanity that weeps within us all, spilling out to form (as none other would have it) as a weave of its own. A web of sorts. A constellation, perhaps :)

Anyways — I’m looking forward to being in Berlin at the end of the month to share some writing that has spiraled out as a result of our time together, listening to stories under the sky🏹🌌🐚

Since I’m hopping on the nostalgia train: I don’t believe 2016 was a decade ago??

Ten years ago was:
🎓 Grad school with some of the greatest people
🍀 3 weeks making art in Ireland
🚂 Frequent trips from Chicago to home via Amtrak
🚙 A cross country road trip with friends I met on Neopets as a kid
🎶 Coaching color guard

I do clearly remember how much I hated growing out my pixie cut tho 🤣 Also, maybe I need to dig out my old skater dresses? 🤔🧐

Late to this party, but here we are! 2025 was the year of remembering magic (mine, yours, ours - I’m a firm believer that rising tides lift all baby). If I’m being totally honest I was really hesitant to post something that felt *too* chipper in light of recent events, but I’ve been deep in some reflection and the truth is that 2025 really propelled some personal growth for me - and that’s not nothing + I’ll hold space for it while simultaneously feeling everything else. Plus I’ll be damned if I stop dancing + finding joy with the people that matter most! Also I got married at home and it was f*cking amazing, I love my husband so much (we all got to watch a rocket launch in our front yard if your wondering what that giant ball of light in the sky is lol) and I haven’t shared all the beautiful photos @eunicebeck took because it still feels a little too tender to share with the world. Just feeling really grateful for the people in my life and looking forward to keeping the energy from 2025 going + leveling up work things in 2026.

The Importance of the Impossible: A conversation about the Archives of the Impossible

The Archives of the Impossible at Rice University in Houston—created by Professor Jeffrey Kripal—house collections of materials that explore phenomena considered “impossible” within a strictly materialist framework. We have been excited to have been able to showcase a small selection of photographs, illustrations and text from the collections as part of Lagrange Point.

Join us for a virtual panel discussion featuring Prof. Jeffrey Kripal, Peter Skafish of the Sol Foundation, and Rice PhD candidate Amanda Nedham @anedham , in a conversation facilitated by David A.M. Goldberg. This event is hosted in conjunction with Lagrange Point, an exhibition curated by Ninth Planet at Slash that explores “alien life” and non-human intelligence.
