Preliminary declaration APPROVED for a mixed use residential housing scheme for up to 38 dwellings in Alderney.

We are delighted to have supported our client to achieve this PD on a sensitive and historically significant site.

The Arsenal is a registered heritage asset built between 1855 and 1859 and forms the Victorian outworks of Fort Albert with German additions. The site is within the Longis Common Conservation Area.

The development could provide smaller housing units to support newly forming households or those who wish to downsize.

Nice approval to cap off the week!

This pool house compliments the main property that we have extensively extended, altered and refurbished.

The pool house will incorporate a sauna, steam and changing facilities and will be constructed from a glulam structure with a living roof to maintain the rural aesthetic as well as contribute to biodiversity.

The dynamic form was a must to capture key landmarks and views!!

Completed over 10 years ago now, we enjoyed the challenge that came with the design and construction of this enviable coastal home.

Today we celebrate World Architecture Day 2025 🎉

This year’s theme, Design for Strength, resonates with the role of architecture in shaping a resilient future. Strength isn’t only about structural integrity, it’s also about creating sustainable, adaptable spaces that support both people and planet. 🌍

At PF+A, we believe true strength comes from designing architecture that balances longevity and sustainability, strengthens communities, and minimises its impact on the environment. From material choices to energy efficiency, we strive to create architecture that lasts and leaves a positive legacy. 💡🏛️

We’re proud to contribute to a stronger, more sustainable Guernsey.

Swipe to see some architectural pieces our team find inspiring. ✨

We are in Spain! There are some incredible properties around here; new contemporary houses, traditional villas and some in between. Which do you prefer, the first or the second? 🤔

This approved scheme provides 68 dwellings, a mix of size and type. The courts are a solution designed to improve permeability and enjoyment of protected landscaped areas, enhancing the living experience for the residents.

Further to the great interest and positive comments on LinkedIn here’s a few further pictures, if you’d like to read a bit more about this project please wizz over to our LinkedIn page.

Pete Falla, founder of PF+A is closing in on the phase 2 extension of the building. He’s learnt a lot along the way as you can find out on LinkedIn.
