Meet Madison Marsh Morris, President of the Whitney Marsh Foundation, the first active-duty Air Force officer to be crowned Miss America (2024) and a new member of PanCAN’s Health Equity Committee, where she serves as a Rural Health Representative. 💜

Madison’s connection to PanCAN is deeply personal. She became involved after losing her mother, Whitney Marsh, to #pancreaticcancer at just 41 years old. In the seven years since, Madison has worked alongside PanCAN on Capitol Hill, at #PanCANPurpleStride and now through our Health Equity Committee — all driven by a mission to ensure no patient is ever left without hope.

She shares,“Every day, I wake up with a mission to serve pancreatic cancer patients across the globe because I know what it feels like to be left with no hope."

Health equity is central to PanCAN’s mission, and Madison’s leadership reflects that commitment. She champions the belief that where someone lives or how much they earn should never determine their chance of survival.

Madison’s perspective is shaped by her family’s experience in Fort Smith, Arkansas, where her mother chose to receive chemotherapy locally while traveling to MD Anderson for care. That journey inspired Madison’s continued research at Harvard, where she currently studies rural disparities in access to care in partnership with PanCAN.

We’re grateful for her passion and leadership as we work toward a future where every pancreatic cancer patient has a fair chance — not just to survive, but to thrive.
