POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This is a long time coming.

It started with a Guardian 4th Estate longlisting in 2022 for Temitope Ajayi's story. I was just writing for the love of it and suddenly realised people were actually taking my work seriously. That moment gave me the courage to keep going.

Then came Jemimah Lawal and eventually Eunice Chinda. Whose story began on stage at Lagos Fringe Festival and a three day showcase at the Alliance Française in Ikoyi, Lagos, before finding her way into this book.

This week has been awesome. From the team @chanellejune @jenkiefer53 @xummerrr @katbarton49 & Vi who helped bring Dear Diary to life, to the @royafrisoc who reminded me and people like me why we keep writing.

It's finally out of the laptop and into the world and available now on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Link in bio.

Dear Diary. The Truth Behind The Mask. One book I hope you love.

I would love your support. Share it, buy it, tell someone about it. Every bit helps a debut author more than you know.

The best part of going to signings is getting to see and spend time with friends! 📖💙

Book friends are the best friends 🫶🏻

Book signings are so much fun, but I also love spending time with my friends from all around the country! We very rarely get in-person time together, so I soak up every minute of it!!

Signing Part 2 - Authors
(save the yapping about double posting🤣)

I loved meeting some of my favorite authors for the first time, along with squeezing some of them again! I enjoyed meeting some new to me authors as they gave me recommendations to try from their backlist as well!

Authors (with the help of their lovely PAs/managers) work hard to bring their stories to life, and I love cheering them on! Books are one of my greatest joy, and something about the romance genre is truly special 🩷.

Love N Vegas book signing! This was my 3rd time at the Vegas signing and it was such a fun trip. Seeing favorite authors and spending the day with friends is always the best! Ended the night with dinner at Primal, which was such a mood! ❤️

Signing Day - Part 1

The best part about the signings are the people! Being with friends made the day so much fun, and they (unknowingly) helped me manage my overstimulation and anxiety🤍.

Meeting friends through the bookish community is more than DMs and book recs. It’s being able to laugh, share new experiences and letting someone get to know you beyond the screen. Making friendships as an adult is a vulnerable and scary thing. Along the way I’ve found people who I can laugh with, travel with and who won’t judge me and (all) my inside thoughts I voice out loud💀🤣.

I definitely shed a tear when @neverlandpixy dropped me at the airport, as these trips always fly by so quickly when you’re having fun. I cannot wait for the next adventure!

Day 3 in Vegas made some core memories!!

✅Registration was the smoothest process I’ve experienced at a signing.
✅Brunch at Mon Ami Gabi
✅My first hockey game, it was AMAZING, a PRODUCTION, and WE WON!
✅Road the rollercoaster (I will never ride that death trap again but YOLO💀)
✅Late night dinner at In and Out!

The best part were the people who made me laugh and put up with my lovely sarcasm and cantankerous humor💀🤣

Vegas day 2 was so fun! The best food, time with friends, lots of laughs! Love N Vegas registration was a breeze, Mon Ami Gabi for brunch (perfection), Golden Knights hockey game which was a whole production and so much fun (the best energy and they won), New York New York roller coaster (don’t recommend 😅), and finishing the night with In N Out (always a win)! ✨
