Chewy Lucas - Get Chromed is out everywhere!

So happy to have met these fellows and to be apart of this project. So much love went in this and many nights of making it the best it can be. This album is absurd and beautiful all in one. Please give this thing a listen. Hell, if you like it you should also share this to your friends and grandparents.

Much love,
Luke

One year band anniversary! ❤️‍🔥

When I picked up the sticks in Oct 2023 my only goal was to heal, to give myself something cathartic in what felt like the most hopeless time of my life.

Because drumming was one positive I could talk about in such dark times, I talked about it any time I could.

My friends @madelynkaiser_ and @silver.fairy were also eager to learn music and have a creative outlet uplifted by friends.

So we created our own safe space to learn and grow as musicians together. We had NO IDEA what we were doing, but whatever it was — it was working for us.

We started out with monthly jam sessions. Then every other week. We started doing band dinners before practice and one night we all had the same feeling: “We could do this every week.”

Come November we decided we were officially going to be A BAND, so we needed a singer. Maddie and I went to a drag show and @alexa___play left our jaws on the floor when they belted out Paramore.

“That’s our singer” Maddie and I exclaimed.

Two months later I worked up the courage to tell Alexa via IG comments: “if you ever want to be in a band, message me.” The band squealed when we got the message that Alexa was ALL IN.

Now we’re working on the first EP any of us have ever written.

The band has given me something to look forward to every day.

It has given me hope.

To all our loved ones that have supported us, thank you for believing in us.

To the @chewy_lucas boys for all the wisdom, shared gear, and all the minutes on FaceTime to help us, your encouragement is invaluable to us as new musicians.

To my love @bonesaw24 , thank you for supporting all my wild passion projects (even this very noisy one).

To my bandmates, I love you so much. Thank you for everything. I will find you in every crowd, across the cosmos and lifetimes. 💫
