Hoda Kotb surprised Hoboken mom + longtime Wallace Elementary employee Madeline Gonzalez with a three-day wellness retreat through her Joy 101 platform 💚

Madeline has worked at Wallace Elementary for more than 24 years and is a mom of six + grandmother of 13. Her son tells HG that she’s also spent years volunteering, coaching, mentoring, and showing up for the Hoboken community.

“She’s a giver,” her son Eddie said. “She makes everyone feel loved.”

Hoda + a film crew came to Wallace Elementary to surprise Madeline in person with a spot at the Joy 101 Retreat, a three-day weekend centered around wellness, music, speakers + finding more joy.

A very well-deserved surprise for someone who has spent so many years giving back to the Hoboken community 🥹 <<3

Happy birthday to the love of my life. ❤️

I hope this new chapter brings you even more reasons to laugh, dream, play, and enjoy the little things.❤️

I feel so lucky that I get to love you through every chapter and every version of you from here on out. And if I’m lucky enough to grow old with you, I’ll gladly celebrate every birthday right by your side.

Here’s to all the beautiful memories we still have ahead of us. I love you endlessly, baby. ❤️🥂

August ♾️

The month of 8, a number that represents infinity, balance, and the beautiful reminder that everything comes full circle.

The final stretch of summer always feels a little bittersweet. Maybe because August carries that quiet reminder that nothing stays the same forever.

The last real taste of summer, and somehow a month full of change. New places, new memories, new perspectives, and a whole lot of love in between🧡

I think the most special souls are those who make you feel safe to be yourself, safe enough to share your vulnerability, safe to let go, safe to feel connected, safe to reach out, safe to share your story, safe.
