Another great tournament weekend with AGF in Tulsa. Tough competitors as always in Oklahoma. The tournament ran very smooth and was a lot of fun. I was able to do 6 brackets winning gold in 4 and silver in 2. Can’t wait until the next one. Thanks to my teammates and coaches @wichitavalor and my sponsor @the_agf for always providing the best tournament!

I can’t express the blessings this sport has placed upon me. Through nights of restlessness either thinking of techniques or in pain, it’s an obsession I’m happy to share with the training partners I’ve grown to call brothers. 💜

Nine years ago, I needed a new challenge. One I never expected to turn into something I truly love and plan to pursue for as long as my body allows.

I can’t begin to express how grateful I am to my wife, Kendra, for supporting the early mornings, the late nights, and the countless black eyes, broken fingers, and torn ligaments — all just to keep the fire lit. Your support has meant everything.

To the people who have helped me reach another milestone on my personal Jiu Jitsu journey — Coach Varro, Donovan, Justin, and Nate — thank you. Thank you for exposing me to different games, perspectives, and styles, and for allowing me the space to mold my own.

I highly recommend starting a martial art at any age. The lessons and life carryover go far beyond the mats and often reveal themselves when you least expect it. This journey isn’t about racing to the end; it’s about learning to live in the moments, embracing the tests, and growing through adversity.

I live by a rule instilled in me at a young age: get comfortable being uncomfortable. That’s where growth lives. Be vulnerable. Be willing to look foolish. Everyone starts somewhere — and the ones who don’t quit are the ones who eventually become masters.

Grateful for the journey. Onward.
