New biz, who dis? The Pelvic Institute has officially landed in Wicker Park, setting up shop at 2133 W Division St., and what better way to welcome them than with a ribbon cutting! Their mission statement is clear and simple: Pelvic health is essential, and it deserves a dedicated space that treats it that way. Their goal is to make pelvic floor therapy as accessible and normalized as sports physical therapy. That means having a welcoming clinical space with a full gym and therapists who have dedicated their careers to being the best at what they do. This looks like one-on-one care, progressive treatment plans, and patients who leave stronger and more connected to their bodies than they were before they walked in. Wicker Park Bucktown Special Service Area #33’s Legacy Business Recognition Program highlights businesses that have been serving the Wicker Park Bucktown community for 15 years and more! Storefront windows all over the neighborhood proudly display orange window clings identifying each of these legacy businesses and recognizing their service. This month, we’re talking about The Handlebar! @handlebarchicago has been serving up food, booze and good times at 2311 W. North Ave. in Wicker Park since 2003. They serve made-from-scratch vegetarian and vegan comfort food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week. They are a small, casual neighborhood restaurant with a full-service bar and beer garden. Handlebar recycles, brews fair-trade coffee, serves all organic eggs, and sources produce from local farms. The Handlebar has an open patio and cozy dining room, open Monday-Friday from 10AM-12AM and on Saturday and Sunday from 9AM-12AM.
