We launched a friggin’ spin off! The Dickie Show is on YouTube and @bbciplayer now.

Hat’s off (well, wigs off) to our incredible @phildunnning who took on this new venture with such confidence and to our amazing cast @realmarkbenton @alexandramardell @strawberrypats @elijahyoung__ who made us all belly laugh with their stunning performances and impeccable timing.

We brought our @smoggiequeens family on and off screen along with us to really make this chat show feel like the perfect addition to the mad world we’d established:

Over two years ago, my good pal @thebethevans sent me a script that was funny, unique, and bursting with heart — and, along with the wonderful team at @subotica.ie, asked if I’d like to direct it. It was an easy yes.

842 days later, Leonard & Hungry Paul arrives on TV tomorrow. Available on @bbciplayer, it’s a story that stands as the antithesis of these shout-louder, crazy times — a gentle, understated tale that celebrates kindness, quietness, and simply being.

Adapted from Rónán Hession’s beautiful novel, this show was made by a team of incredible people, both on and off screen, who poured their talents and hearts into every frame.

Oh, and Julia Roberts loved the book so much, she decided to narrate our show too. No biggie. 😌

I hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it.

Still can’t quite believe that ‘Snapshots’, the debut film by Bird & Be (that’s me and @phoebebarran !) won 5 awards. Although…I can…because we truly had the most incredible cast & crew. I still can’t believe how much talent came together to create this 13 minutes of cinema. Paul Kaye’s best actor award was richly deserved, and the entire crew and cast share all the other various best film awards. We were also buzzing that so many people got to see it at so many film festivals, and…that a distribution company (named Gonella) picked it up! That means that you can also now watch it (finally!). It’s on vimeo (link in biog) and around £1 to watch (sorry it’s not free - that’s the distribution company’s call and one we understand, although we of course personally would have loved to show it for free). Hope you enjoy it, and big love to everyone involved in the making of Snapshots xx
