I guess if I have to finally accept that summer has come to pass, we may as well recap August and September. ☀️

What a busy and beautiful last couple months of summer.

Concerts, camping, time with family and friends, birthday celebrations, changes, beginnings, endings and RIOT, RIOT and more RIOT…

Like, I honestly don’t know how I have time to do everything I get to do.

But I do know that I don’t just have the time. I MAKE the time.

And while all these pictures make my life look like one big party, the last couple months have held a lot more than that. Some really high highs, a few lows I didn’t see coming, things I’ve had to let go of, and reminders of how lucky I am to have people who show up and love me through all of it.

I turned 49. I watched another kid leave the nest. I car camped in the back of my 4Runner and freaking loved it. I traveled to Colorado with some of my favorite people to train new Riot instructors. I danced at more Riot events than I can count. I celebrated SO MANY Virgo birthdays, took trips, went to concerts, slept under the stars and made a ridiculous amount of memories with people I love.

And in all of that, I was reminded again that this life doesn’t just happen to me. I keep choosing it.

I make the plans. I book the flights. I show up for the people I love. I say yes. I make room for joy even when life feels complicated. I keep finding reasons to dance.

And damn, am I grateful I get to.

August + September, you were a lot.

But you were really freaking beautiful. ❤️

I can’t do a birthday recap without including a little bit of last weekend. ❤️

Eric and I decided this was the year to finally get ourselves a trailer and start actually going… seeing more, exploring more, and spending more time creating adventures with our family and friends.

And I have to say, we’ve done a killer job getting that girl on the road this summer. 😂

Those who know me well know that time spent is my absolute love language. Life is busy. There will always be work, responsibilities, schedules and a million reasons why we “don’t have time.” But I’ve come to believe that, whether we realize it or not, the way we spend our time says a lot about what matters most to us.

So this year, on my birthday, I’m especially grateful for time. Because holy shit, it’s moving too f*cking fast.

And if that means I spend every last penny I have creating memories, going places, doing ridiculous things, and soaking up as much time as possible with the people I love, and who choose me right back, then so be it. 😂❤️💸 No regrets. No debts. Just memories.

Thank you for every text, DM, DoorDash delivery, card, gift, thought, hug, post, and visit today. Nobody will ever fully know how much my heart swells with every tiny gesture that says, “I thought of you today”.

Another trip around the sun, and I think that might be the greatest gift of all:
to love, to be loved back, and to have the time to enjoy it.

49. Let’s go. 🎂

Nothing says “another trip around the sun” like spending my birthday weekend soaking up this view. ☀️💙

One of my favorite places + some of my favorite people = a pretty perfect way to celebrate 49 trips around the sun.

10/10 birthday weekend. No notes. 🎂☀️

The longer you live, the more you realize that life isn’t measured in years.

It’s measured in memories.

The first day of kindergarten.
Picture days.
Every school dance and activity.
Honors classes and college applications.
And today… walking across that stage, diploma in hand.

We’re so proud of you, Cameron. Not just for what you’ve accomplished, but for who you are.

Now go build a life you love. 🎓✨

It’s true. I’ll never forget the wild little toddler that gave me a run for my money…
the preteen that kept me laughing and rolling my eyes daily…
or the teenager that tested my patience and sanity more than a few times.

But every time I see him as the man he has become,
Creating a life that he loves and giving his whole heart to it,
I am so proud to call him my baby.

Happy birthday Braiden. 27 years of being your mom has been an absolute pleasure.
