I’ve been on a plane all day so not had a chance, until now, to offer my endless thanks to everyone who came out last night to support the wonderful Graham Silveria Martin and his truly sublime solo exhibition at my space on Porchester Place. I could not be more in love with this man and his achingly beautiful paintings. My twentieth Scene runs until Friday 6 November. Come take a look when you can. ‘Slave to the Rhythm’ (2026) - the making of .

Between the moment a photograph is imagined and the moment it is finally finished and hanging on a wall, there is a whole conversation.

You can see some of it in these ‘behind the scenes’ slides …. of course, because it takes a chorus.

For this image, there was a world built and staged from deliberate cues: vintage furniture, wicker textures, banana leaves, the Capri tiger, an Asian fan resting on the floor, chinoiserie, Hermes ashtrays, Grace Jones staring back from the records, Vintage Interview magazines … even the dress nodding to early 80s Versace campaigns. Nothing is accidental. Each object becomes a cultural cue.

… and then comes everything that brings that world to life: lighting, styling, set, hair, makeup, the talk between each shot, the patience and presence in front of the lens interpreting an idea that used to live only in my head.

A lot happens before that final quiet moment on the wall. So thank you to everyone who lent their eye, their craft, and steady hands to bringing this one to life. This is ours together.

Thank you to @closeltd @freeny_yianni @rscarryart @magnus_hammick1 @yanis.hammick for hosting us this weekend for the opening of LOOK OUT this important group exhibition brings together fourteen artists working across more than a century to explore landscape as both a physical reality and a psychological space. Through painting, sculpture and mixed media, LOOK OUT reflects on the enduring power of landscape to offer reflection, resilience and renewal in times of profound change. Yesterday we celebrated the artists and @paultomtabor gave a stunning recital of his poem Look Out written specifically for this very beautiful landscape exhibition alongside @rainwellbeing The elegant wines flowed freely curated and donated by @blashenwell wines and @sorentholstrup gave us a wonderful wine presentation to kick us off, with carefully selected bottles from independent, family-owned producers across France and Italy.
All Supported by Katy Wickremesinghe and @thewickculture
All effortlessly hosted by Freeny, Magnus and the boys it was a truly magical and inspiring weekend from dawn to dusk and back again! We even had a DJ set by Atsushi Hasegawa the Exhibition continues until 31 October.

Feeling very Charlie’s Angels after I managed to break away from Advent fever (it’s going to be WILD this year 🤪👏👏👏) to see ultimate sweetheart and hair guru @harrietmuldoon at @larrykinglondon. Harriet took me cooler on the base by adding in some ash and then dealt out some gorgeous ribbons of blonde and also what I *think* is called ‘Backwards Balayage’. I am obsessed! Then cutie pie @stanleyciftcihair did the BEST head and neck massage and finished with the Farrah Fawcett treatment on my @wildandreas cut! Quick wine on the balcony and back to unboxing advent calendars in a heatwave I go!!

The highlight of my trip to Skiathos is always the day spent in the boat with one of the island’s finest, Yiannis Voutsis.
