dear woman
you were the first body
i touched
in experimentation
still unaware
i might love you one day
your body
a statue i marvelled at
marble carved by sculptors nimble of hand

now i love you
yet at first my fibres didn’t burn as they did for man
now i talk to you
and don’t know where to place my eyes
internally blushing
i want you
but i am scared to violate you
your boundaries crossed
a million-fold
don’t let me be one of them

is it the man in me
that craves you
or does my femininity
feel safe in your arms
?

— a deeper sexuality
