1986 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45 offered by Wilder Customs in Charleston, SC for $29,500. Visit Fourbie.com for the full gallery, details, and contact information. This Venezuelan-market FJ45 pairs the familiar 40 Series front end with the long pickup bed that gives these trucks such a distinctive profile. Finished in blue with a contrasting white roof, the truck also features a drop-down tailgate, diamond-plate bed floor, cab guard, new 16-inch wheels, and 33-inch tires. Listen 🎧 or Watch 📺 Now! Collaborative Co-Host Episode with Dan Simpson host of @classic_land_cruisers Podcast! Listen on any Podcast App or Watch on YourTube, 🔗 in Bio! On this episode, Chris collaborates and co-hosts with Dan Simpson, the host of the Classic Land Cruisers Podcast. When two classic 4x4 enthusiasts get a chance to pick each others brains, the conversation will inevitably end up about Land Cruisers. They talk about their random encounter crossing paths, variations of global market Land Cruisers and get real about the beloved J-Series markets. US Spec Land Cruisers will always be paramount in the market, but supply of imported Land Cruisers has moderated and allowed the market to balance out. Lately, the lower volume of Land Cruisers we are seeing imported into the US tend to be higher quality restorations and desirable variants that we never saw in the US. Those current market trends and the back drop of a strong collector vehicle market are moving the J-Series market back into the sellers favor and prices are rising. Last Spring, I talked with several well-known and a few legendary Land Cruiser restoration shops about resurrecting this rig. After flying to L.A. and visiting with Brian of @corsetticruisers, he made a comment “You’re J Clark; you can do anything.” I’m pretty sure it was his way of passing on the project. But, it lit a fire, challenge accepted. So for that, I thank you, Brian. Truly. So I got to work, and with much help, I give you a short progress update in pictures on LC1, my 1986 GCC Spec FJ62 VX Highroof. The paint is almost complete—a 2UZFE V8 engine swap up next. Yes, I am keeping it OEM; no, I am not taking the LS route. I like uncommon things as much as I like reliability. Personal preference but I’ll take a 2UZFE engine with 100,000 miles on it over a new LS3-EROD with a 3 year, 50,000 mile warranty any day. And, having seen Jeremiah’s amazing Taco Tuesday build at #SEMA2024, I plan to put the forthcoming @nomadwheel 504 Fields on this build (if they come in a black satin finish. Looking at you @nomadwheels). More to come. #jclarkcruisers #landcruiservariants #toyota #landcruiser #toyotalandcruiser #fj62 #60series #60serieslandcruiser #cruiserlife #60seriessahara #toyota4x4 #CruisersofCHS #toyotauae #landcruiserlifestyle #landcruiser60 #landcruiserclub #landcruisernation #landcruiser60series #landcruiservx #landcruisersofaustralia #terraintamer #ValleyHybrids #ih8mud #vintagetrucks #vintage4X4 #4X4
