My POV from 2022 and fast forward to 2024••••••

Believe it or not @anniebee_cc pitched the idea of a Farm to Table restaurant about 2 years ago. We saw the place and I thought it was an amazing space that had a lot of potential. Fast forward to April of 2024 she messaged me and told me she was ready to open the restaurant we spoke about 2 years ago.

Flew back to Malawi from Dubai to what was only a 6 week trip and later turned out to be a 6 month trip ( God is funny) but it turned out to be one of the best career choices I took up this year.

I’ll be sharing more of my journey on @makoli_restaurant and everything I’ve learn whilst being a Culinary Consultant in Malawi .

I’d like to share a story that exemplifies the profound impact of collaboration and teamwork. Recently, I had the privilege of managing Tikka and Daphney’s exquisite wedding ceremony. In addition to overseeing the entire event, I was entrusted with decorating various elements, including the officiation and cocktail hour décor.This experience was distinct, requiring me to collaborate closely with a variety of service providers to ensure that the couple’s vision was flawlessly executed. One of our key collaborators was *Your Image Consultancy*, @yiahmw owned by the bride, Daphney. Her company not only specializes in providing trained and professional servers and waitstaff, but they also contributed a beautiful table setup, cutlery, and all things used for serving during the officiation. Daphney @allidah.d.henson envisioned an elegant à la carte dining experience for her wedding—a seamless sit-down service where guests could simply enjoy the moment without the hassle of queuing.
We also partnered with Ida, who designed the stunning reception décor. Together, we meticulously synchronized every detail to ensure a cohesive event. On the photography and videography front, we had the pleasure of working with *Forever Films*, owned by the groom, Tikka, who was responsible for the videography, and *BRK Photography* handled the photography.
Our collaboration extended further with Rodney, a manager from the prestigious Serendib Hotel,Chef Ongani and Sam. Their expertise and support were valuable in overseeing excellence food and beverage. When it came to catering, we had Roseline, who traveled all the way from Lilongwe, along with Sofana, who curated the cocktail hour menu, and Joanna, who crafted the cocktail drinks.
A thank you goes to Kate Sinyimba for providing the stunning wedding cake, which was a centerpiece of the celebration.
This event was truly a testament to the power of collaboration. Every service provider contributed to creating
the luxurious and classy experience that Tika and Daphney envisioned something unparalleled, something truly unique.
