Today is Chelsey's last class teaching (for now!) before she takes maternity leave!! We can't wait to meet our littlest Pilates lemon in a few weeks! 🍋

We are so proud of Chelsey's journey from student to apprentice to teaching mat + reformer classes. She started our apprenticeship program in January and stayed so committed to her practice and the demands of the program throughout her pregnancy, in addition to running her business and working full time! 🤯

We will miss Chelsey on the teaching schedule, but you'll see her in class as she prepares to meet baby Sunny in November. 🌞

We can't wait to see her step into this next chapter and will be cheering her on every step of the way. 🥰

Thank you so much to this incredible community for voting Wild Lemon Best Pilates & Best Boutique Fitness Studio in the @in.weekly Best of the Coast Awards!

Huge congratulations to SJ for winning Best Fitness Instructor for the second year in a row!

Pensacola is full of wonderful small, locally owned businesses and we are proud to be one of them.

We are so grateful to every single person who voted, for Joani and the team at InWeekly for working so hard hand counting votes and putting together this event and beautiful issues and for the community who continues to show up and move with us through every season of life.

Overwhelmingly grateful to our passionate, brilliant teachers who pour so much into their classes, continue their education, welcome every student and support our movers through every session. Thank you!!

Help us in celebrating our Student of the Month, Kelly!!

Kelly's dedication and consistency to her practice is an inspiration - but the way she makes new students feel welcome or quickly offers a hug if you need one is what makes us so proud to call her a Wild Lemon.

She has attended more than 315 classes at Wild Lemon! The next time you see her in class, give her a high 5!

Watching Kelly progress in her practice over the years is a delight. She is stronger, more confident, more flexible and has improved her balance since starting her practice.

Thank you for moving with us, Kelly!

IN MY FEELINGS

What a dream and delight to get to host @lorimakesmoves, owner of @pilateshomeroom, two years in a row. What a joy to get to attend a Restorative Equipment class together on Sunday led by @hylene.garcia - it felt like the cherry on top of a perfect weekend of learning, movement and community.

I met Lori in 2018 through a Pilates workshop we hosted at Wild Lemon. She's been my friend since then, but became my confidante and teacher a couple of years ago when I started taking lessons from her virtually. Her teaching blew my mind and pushed my body and those bi-weekly lessons turned into lengthy phone calls discussing the challenges and joys of Pilates studio stewardship, the current state of our industry, our hopes for our students and fellow teachers and everything in between and around.

It took effort to build a friendship, especially a long distance one.

Developing deep friendships with fellow studio owners and teachers can be hard. We are all so busy. We all pour so much into our people. We are all doing our best. Too often, we see each other as competition or social media pits us against each other for having different teaching styles, backgrounds or goals. The truth is - we are all just figuring it out as we go. There is enough room for all of us. The more people out there practicing Pilates, the better.

My friendship with Lori makes me a better studio owner and teacher. Being able to share the talents of my good friend in these special spaces with this welcoming community of movers lights me up and inspires me to make more friends and host more teachers and keep helping people move better forever.

Sending so much love to my fellow studio owners, teachers and students. If you're looking for a friend in this space - my door is always open!🍋💛

- Kiley :)

Wow! This has been a wonderful couple of days of inspiration, laughter, learning, effort and connection.

What a delight that 52 LEMONS rolled through the studios to attend Lori's classes and workshops over the last 36 hours!!!

Thank you, thank you for coming out to make a new friend, try a new class style and get to know each other's names (3x, IYKYK).

Lori will be back next year - but in the meantime, follow @lorimakesmoves and stop by @pilateshomeroom the next time you are in NOLA!

Day 1 of @pilateshomeroom takeover of @wildlemonstudios was too fun to capture!

We started with a Reformer class at the Scott Street location, then popped to Gulf Breeze for a tower class. Finished the day back at Scott Street for the Stay Curious workshop that was so good - we forgot to take a pic!

Last chance to move with Lori today before she heads back to NOLA:

9 am Reformer at Scott
10:15 am Original 34 Mat Exercises at 12th Ave

See you there!
