The out of office is on and I’ve just devoured an over priced coffee and pastry at Bristol airport. And we’re off on a mini adventure to our house in Catalonia for the solar eclipse. We have nothing planned for this trip apart from catching up with friends, seeing the eclipse and eating all the good tomatoes. Oh and maybe buying a fridge. So what am I packing in case inspiration strikes: First and foremost my @wildoriginuk journal, a lovely birthday gift from @ettaylor I’ve swapped out one of the lined notebooks for one of my badgers walk A6 plain notebooks, perfect for the quickest of scrawls and sketches. The refillable leather case is only going to get better with time. Next up a handy fan, I bought on my last Spanish escapade, I feel this will come in useful for all those non air conditioned moments. A selection of my favourite Pentel signwriter felt tips and my @tomsstudio lumps pen and replacement nibs. For all my sketching needs in compact. Speaking of compact I’m excited to try these @artwayltd watercolours, I found them when I was delivering an order to @knightshayesnt and felt like they had to come on holiday. Next up is a print stick, and I decided against brining my stork scissors, worrying that I might loose them to airport security. Finally a @nealsyardremedies skin salve and @elizabetharden 8 hour cream. A multitude of skin dilemmas solved with two potions. And my glasses, some for actually seeing and the others are super special eclipse glasses. Won’t we look snazzy?! What do you think, and I missing an airport essential, what are you taking in holiday? I should add, Jim has all the necessities like charger, the usb speaker and a pack of cards. #packinglist #outofoffice #destinationspain #kitlist #artistonholiday naturally I chopped the ends off some paint brushes to make them fit in my pencil case.

Maybe you want to get ahead of the festive rush... or finally book that shoot that's been sitting on your to-do list. 👀 We'll blink and everyone will be talking about Christmas so this is your little nudge to get organised now, because you will be very smug when you've got a bank of fresh (festive or otherwise!) content ready to go for the busiest selling season of the year. I never do discounts, so this one's a bit different for me. I hate disappointing people when trying to squeeze everything into Sept/Oct time, so hoping this may help. I've got just TWO dates left for this package (newsletter subscribers had first dibs): ✨ Week commencing 27th July ✨ Week commencing 10th August The link to reserve one is in my bio (usual 50% payment to secure the date). PS. I've popped an extra little treat at the end of the carousel. 😉

Making the studio rich in greens and woods for @wildoriginuk 🌿 Any excuse to get all my plants out… and realise which ones I’ve accidentally neglected. 🙃 These images are just a few from Vicki’s second shoot, featuring everything from keyrings and handbags to wallets and jewellery holders, all handcrafted in Vicki’s Cornish studio. Vicki wanted a nod to nature in the imagery while keeping everything feeling current and suitable for use all year round and with this shoot, we used some darker woods and a green wall colour. One of my favourite things about this studio is how much changing the wall colour completely transforms the space (and gives me an excuse to play around with a new look). I’m in this studio every day, and it still amazes me how different every shoot can feel. Every brand brings its own personality into the space, and I love seeing it come to life. This was a big studio product shoot (174 images in the end!!), capturing products in multiple ways, including held shots to show scale. Swipe for a little peek at just 10 shots from the gallery. →

The beautiful videography captured at my Christmas Artisan and Vintage Market is back and I’m totally in love with it. Big thanks to @edsurtees for filming on the day and helping to capture the wonderful moments and special atmosphere. It was such a gorgeous day, and it’s been amazing to have such wonderful feedback from those who were a part of the day, and everyone who came along. For the last market of 2025, we certainly ended on a high ✨ Keep your eyes peeled early next year to hear the dates of my 2026 markets, some planning has already started behind the scenes. All the details will be posted here on social media, as well as being on the market page of my website. Signing up to my newsletter is another great way of hearing future dates, you can do that on the homepage of my website. Thank you again to everyone for supporting my markets this year, they’ve certainly be a highlight for me ✨

As our inboxes are flooded with Black Friday deals (which are often made to seem better than they are) PLEASE don’t forget us small businesses that are trying to keep our heads above water. Smaller margins mean it’s hard to compete at this time of year, but if you value quality and authenticity then please shop independently. Not just at Christmas, but any time you need a gift or want to treat yourself. 🙏🏼 I have rounded up 25 brands/shops to check out over on the blog, here are just a small selection of those - I urge you to go visit their websites to see what other lovely things they sell! Happy indie Christmas all! ❤️
