When Lara first spoke to us about Aala Daou El Baher, she spoke about the sea. About how, after being diagnosed with cancer, she kept finding her way back to it. During one of the most vulnerable chapters of her life, it became a place of silence, surrender, and somehow, of strength. A place where fear could soften and hope could quietly return.

From those moments, this collection was born.

A story of rebirth, transformation, and the invisible threads that continue to bind us to the people we love. Some lights never truly leave us, they simply become part of the wind, the waves, and the memories we carry forward. And, quietly woven through it all, was the light of Aimee Daou, whose spirit continues to move with the sea.

Bringing this story to life at Bolero Bloom, by the sea itself, felt less like hosting a fashion performance and more like witnessing something deeply human unfold before us.

This work could never have existed without the extraordinary artists who poured themselves into it.

For Aala Daou El Baher 🌊☀️

Working with Soraya from @wildwillow.me was one of those rare creative encounters where ideas flowed effortlessly and a shared design language emerged from the very beginning.

Together, we imagined floating flowers drifting above the dancers’ heads, delicate yet powerful presences moving through the performance like rays of light. Bathed in yellow, the color of the sun, they became an extension of the Daou at the heart of Aala Daou El Baher.

Soraya brought this vision to life with remarkable sensitivity, crafting headpieces that felt weightless, luminous, and alive. They moved with the dancers, catching the light and adding a layer of poetry and magic to the stage.

So much gratitude for your creativity, trust, and beautiful artistry, Soraya. What a joy it was to build this world together ✨

As part of this year’s Bolero Bloom, we welcome LARAKHOURY as one of our main acts, unveiling a fashion performance that moves beyond the expected.

Aala Daou El Baher is shaped by water, memory, and rebirth.
Rooted in a deeply personal journey through cancer, the sea became her source of strength and awakening. Out of its vastness, an unexpected connection emerged with Bolero’s own darling daughter and sister, the late Aime Daou’s luminous soul, one that came to shape the entire work.

A celebration of life.
A celebration of her Light ✨
Carried through movement.

Through deconstructed silhouettes and elongated wave-like forms, the body becomes a landscape in motion, a dialogue between what confines us and what sets us Free.
