It’s Monday. But we have the memories of the past couple weeks to get us through it. There were swap meets, weekly rides, and shop parties! Summer keeps rolling along and so does LA. 🚴🚴🏿‍♀️🚴🏽‍♂️

Our queer ass is moving round the corner and we are making a fuss about it. 7 incredible years in the same location, and we’re still so enamored with Silverlake that we’ll stay for another 5 (at least).
Our new home is bigger, full of potential… and completely empty. Every dollar helps us turn a warehouse into the next chapter of LA Cyclery. (GoFundMe link in bio.)
Come celebrate our move in our new space. For this one we’ve teamed up with @bikepackingroots for a housewarming that’s equal parts fundraiser, bike community hangout, and gloriously unfinished warehouse party. It’s a vibe!

This Saturday 8/8 at 6pm
2514-B W Sunset Blvd
(Enter through the alley, easiest to spot from Rampart)
$10 buckaroos at the door
Nobody turned away for lack of funds

6pm Doors
7pm Screening of the @stagecoach400 documentary with filmmaker @gregg_sees_the_world

We’ll have:
Radio Kyla + karaoke
Burgers, beer, giveaways, raffles and the best people

Also, you can check out the @wildwolf.cc Gear Library, made possible with support from @bikepackingroots, which is the only nonprofit dedicated exclusively to bikepacking and the people who love it. They build and steward routes, advocate for the public lands we ride through, and help make bikepacking more accessible to everyone.

Hosted alongside @bikepackingroots staff and regional stewards @deeparnes, @gregg_sees_the_world, and @susielowbrow.

So come grab a burger. Watch a film. Dance. Sing terribly. Meet new friends. Celebrate a new beginning while you help us build a bike shop from the ground up.

The things we do just for the love of bikes

💛💚❤️🤍 The Tour de France Femmes is underway and you gotta see it to believe it! Come watch a replay of the 👑Queen Stage👑 at Spoke Bicycle Cafe this Friday, August 7th, at 6pm. There will be an epic summit finish on Mont Ventoux after a 9.7 mile, 8.8% average gradient climb 🤯 Maybe a nighttime ride up Griffith after if we’re inspired? ⛰️ Bonus Frogtown Fun: it’s a First Friday so vendors and artists will be set up along the river path too! 💸 please share, #watchthefemmes and listen to @queenstage.cc !!

🚲 LA Cyclery is moving and needs your support!
Your Silverlake local bike shop is getting a new home. After being in the same space for 7 years we’re moving around the corner. Help us build our new space and keep all bikes running. LA Cyclery is a queer, immigrant, trans-woman owned shop that works to build a safe space for all the diversities the city of LA hosts!

⛺️ Bikepacking Roots is the only non-profit dedicated to supporting bikepacking and bikepackers! We carefully craft and steward routes, advocate for the landscapes and public lands through which we ride, and work to lower barriers to access this incredible adventure sport.

Co-hosted by: @lacyclery and @bikepackingroots staff and Regional stewards: @deeparnes, @gregg_sees_the_world, @susielowbrow

First bikepacking experience was one for the books! You know you've picked the right hobby when the joy of being on a bike completely overrides the trauma of being miserably frozen from the insane winds the night before. Cheers to the beginning of a new chapter in my cycling adventures 🤭

Woke up this morning and @strava reminded me that this time last year I went on my first bikepacking trip…

It sat on Strava and in my camera roll like a LOT of moments do.

2 days. 55 miles. Rolling into Chino Hills State Park with everything we needed strapped to our bikes.

I remember knowing, right then, that the experience I wanted on the bike was about to look different.

Still one of those moments I go back to.

Shoutout to @wildwolf.cc for getting me out there before I even knew what I was stepping into.
