🦋MAGICAL REALISM 🦋

We released butterflies y’all! Scroll all the way for pure magic! When I tell you I was so nervous about these little winged bugs … but it couldn’t have been more perfect!

Gilded collaborated with the loveliest humans to create some dreamy gorgeousness at Hill House in Durham and when I say I gasped outloud when our photog Mina sent the gallery …

The vibes? Immaculate. The florals? Decadent. The cake? Intricate. The butterflies? They FLEW! We channeled Gabriel Garcia Marquez for literary, whimsical goodness, and lemme tell you: our amazing vendor friends nailed it.

Come on tell me: which part made you swoon?

Classic white blooms, crisp black accents for contrast, and personal meaning in every detail. For Carson and Alex, that meant a bourbon bar named after their pup Goose, personalized matchbooks and koozies, and a custom crest tying everything together, from the invitation suite to the seating chart.

wedding chalkboard inspiration ✨

A&J came to me with a vision to tie their wedding invitation design into their chalkboard welcome sign. The result was a warm welcome to their Durham reception that also made for a perfect photo op!

@vuicoevents founder and lead planner Diane Haskett collaborated with @sparksandsand’s Mekai Ely to conjure up a lush purple tablescape incorporating vibrant violet fruit, flowers and place settings that blend beautifully with silver tableware, creating a monochromatic statement against @themaxwellraleigh’s clean, white interior. 🍇💜🌸

You heard it from the experts (@somethingfabulousweddings, that is)! Couples are embracing creative reception table designs, from winding serpentine setups to plush seating options. Vintage and antique-inspired elements are also here to stay, and trending textures like layers of lace and fringe are making their way into weddings.

Which of these trends do you want to see more of?!
