Ran a shortboard comp @otago_boardbash !
What a surreal weekend, absolutely pumping waves and the best crowd ever.

Just started university this year down here and there’s an awesome student surf community but no uni surf comp or even club so thought why not make one.

Had a whole lot of epic crew helping out through out the day, special shout out to all the judges and @jimi_higgins, we even had our 1st place trophies hand made on the beach and Rebull supporting the comp!

So cool calling up the names of the finalists of crew I’ve known and competed against for years, just showing up to have some fun!

It was a one day, one mixed division, absolutely take piss shortboard comp that I loved every minute of, thanks to everyone for showing up and keep an eye out cause there’s definitely gonna be another one!

The Competition Challenger Series!! Through out the day of the event, competitors will not only be competing to win, they will also be competing for the prestigious challenger series titles (Prizes for all titles).

- Sickest Barrel/head dip
- Most cheered for wave (Men and Women)
- Gnarliest wipe out
- craziest attempted air
- best claim

So competitors and spectators get amongst it, cheer on your mates, and send it on some massive sections!!

Can’t wait to see everyone on Saturday!
