The 2026 Pan American Sixes Lacrosse Championships at Oshawa Civic Fields are the first step on the road to Colorado Springs and LA28. From the opening whistle on September 29 through placement games this weekend, the athletes we’ve been tracking have been right in the middle of it competing for their countries, for a bid, and for the next level of the game. Win or lose, we saw the work. The extra reps. The film. The recovery. The way you carried yourselves when the scoreboard didn’t go your way and when it did. Results will sort themselves out. What doesn’t change is the standard you set this week. That’s the kind of athlete this league is built for. We are proud of every one of you. Keep competing!

This past week we held our first official Bridge Rising Day Camp for our community’s youth (rising 3rd - rising 6th graders)!

During this camp we spent 4 days immersing the campers in the tradition of lacrosse, teaching them about the historical roots of the game, and assigning each of them a tribe/nation to learn about their values, way of life, and culture around the game of lacrosse as we continued to build skill sets around the game and continue to learn how to play.

We also had the opportunity to take the campers out on a field trip to St. Edward’s university where we got to do a joint practice with members of their men’s and women’s lacrosse teams out on their main field. Afterward we took a tour of the campus, ate in the cafeteria, and sang some songs on the bus along the way.

To end the camp, after four days of training, learning, and meshing as a team, we held a full day tournament and the team representing the Potawatomi Nation ended up winning in the championship with a very dramatic braveheart finish!!

Very thankful to all of the organizations that partnered with us to make this happen:
@waysideschools for donating the facilities for us to run the camp
@nacc.atx for helping connect us with an amazing stickball practitioner to help teach our campers about the origins of the game
@ctx_cherokee_township for coming out to teach us the oral history of the game and teach us about the historical roots of lacrosse in America
@seuwlax & @stedslax for practicing with us on our Wednesday field trip

Plus a big shoutout to our counselors for making the camp a huge success. We had participants from @chaps_lacrosse @laketravisgirlslacrosse_ @westlakegirlslacrosse @pfeiffermlax @easternmlax @andersongirlslax @chapslax and @ahsmaroonslax all come out to make a lasting impact on our campers.

This was a huge step forward for our program here in Austin, and we are looking forward to continue to build off of this amazing experience!

Men’s Mental Health Month may be ending, but the conversation never should. Hear from some of our incredible male ambassadors who are helping break the silence and remind athletes they are never alone.
