Didn’t think I would get near this based on how the first set went. But that’s the thing sometimes you have to get a sense of the weight and what to expect, then you lock in and can push it on the other sets.

And always push it on the top set

Back for Part 2. That’s where planning and being able to adapt and trust your instinct is a skilled earned.

Some days the weight in the bar is less important than the overall work and effort being put in

If you don’t show up in the right Fit, what’s the point? lol

Everything went wrong today. I was treating today like meet day. Build up to 3 attempts at squat, take a break like it would be at the meet, then 3 attempts at bench, repeat and then deadlift.

I had a specific game plan so that I knew how I was going to prepare over the next 8 weeks. And today is why we practice.

I learned that my squat is strong, my bench needs work and needs to be lighter on the opener and I need to work through deadlift fatigue because I just gassed out.

This was just another practice day, no more special than the days before. Just something that is preparing me for the future. We don’t practice to be perfect we practice to prepare

Ready for test week. 9 weeks out from the powerlifting meet, so it’s a perfect time to test the maxes. Stay tuned for Monday

“I done already made me a name of being the largest but I could be bigger” 😎😤

3 rep max PR. Didn’t think I was coming close to this when I started. That’s why you show up, because you never know what will happen if you never try.

There can be no doubt. Doubt causes chaos in one’s on demise

More than last week. Stronger than last week. Fired up 440Lbs for 4 rep max maybe

Bench Press focus:
1: Engage your back and legs to feel more connected
2: if you follow step one you’ll have more control.
3: Focus on keeping the bar and weight as still and sturdy throughout each rep

These focus points will make your bench feel stronger and more confident so you can continue to increase your strength and confidence over these next 4 weeks leading into test week. 😎💪🏼

Ending this strength phase with a bang. 3 rep max on the weight that took me out of Friday. Good to have recovered and bounced back quickly. Strong muscles make for faster recovery 💪🏼
