Sophomore Year! ✅

What’s up, Setters? Ya missed me? To celebrate school starting back up soon, I thought I’d share some awesome things we did last semester!

We began our journey with heightened text, studying Chekov, Ibsen, and Wilson in Acting IV, learned about Physical Comedy and Melodrama in Movement IV and concluded our Movement journey by creating a devised piece using the Tectonic Theatre technique. In Voice and Speech we stressed, having learned about the use of operative words, rhythm, and adding meaning to made up words, so they mean something to us.

As for outside of class, Pace BFA Acting Class of 2028 did short films (directed and appeared in), plays, musicals, and staged readings!! We are so jazzed to come back and here’s to junior year!!

Christian Clayborne and Brianna Golden directed, produced and adapted The Cherry Orchard this past spring! The production was through a ballroom lens and featured the following CO ‘28 students: Matthew Arradaza, Coral Brito, Bella Cannon, Johnny Depal, Jason Dixon, Law Fong, Theresa Katin, and Audrey Sweet!

After the workshop in the fall semester, Veronica Wainwright appeared in ‘Spiral Bound’ as Terpsichore.
Sydney Safarik and Julia Wilcox were understudies for the show!

Last winter, Will Lunsford wrote, produced, and directed his film, ‘Beautiful’ featuring: Sam Clerihue, Reilly Damalouji, Keira Grace, and Mac Jones. This spring, the film premiered at the FSS Film Festival this May!

Our FDOC due to the blizzard! We began to learn about Physical Comedy, specifically fake slaps, wall hits, and toe stubs!

Keira Grace, Will Lunsford, and Luke Wojciechowski appeared in ‘Will of Fate’, the senior thesis of recent graduate Grace Pierlott.

Coral Brito wrote, directed, acted in, and produced her first short film, ‘In The Moment. Fellow CO’ 28 Julia Wilcox appeared in the film as well!

Timothy Joshua and Will Lunsford appeared in short film, ‘Slay’ by Marc Manapat!

Law Fong wrote, produced, acted in, and directed a 16mm project for his film class. CO’28 Coral Brito appeared in this film as well!

This past spring, Pace BFA Acting put on a production of ‘Se
