What better time than a new year to reflect on what I’ve been up to the last TWO! ⭐️ While I *haven’t* been posting, I *have* had some really cool creative experiences post-grad & decided to put together a little scrapbook of my time spent away from this account: • In the spring of 2024 I went down to RVA & went to my first ever NCECA with my loveliest friend & fellow ceramicist hannah pictured here under the DC cherry blossoms we got to see on our detour down there :) it was an amazing time FULL of the coolest shows & lectures & people • Around this time I also started working at Dia: Beacon & spent a lot of time I now cherish in the galleries surrounded by a collection of ridiculously talented & kind & creative coworkers (love yall!!) • During my time in the Hudson Valley, I worked out of Fallkill Creative Works in Poughkeepsie, a studio I love with all my heart & where I met the biggest sweetheart who is Caty//other half to my kiln-loading-dream-team (miss you!!!) • I spent the summer of 2024 in the woods of Maine teaching ceramics to the girls at Camp Walden & met so many really cool people from all over the country//world 🌲 really proud to have been a part of our Arts & Crafts team • Returned to the Hudson Valley & Dia & the studio *&* fulfilled a dream of mine by becoming a figure model for a drawing class!! I started taking figure drawing classes myself in my senior year of high school, not too much younger than the students I was modeling for, & that was where the dream first took root so it felt like a full circle moment to be on the other side of the drawing board after getting out of school! I loved it <3 • I moved home to WNY at the end of spring 2025 & spent the summer adjusting, cleaning out, crafting, spending a lot of time with my family, & working at ArtPark! • Most recently, I joined the team at Terra & am officially teaching classes & single session workshops in WNY! 🤍 It feels really good to have a studio environment here at home & everyone has been so incredibly welcoming, it is such a special space.
