Coverage of The Haunting at Jack the Ripper’s House 📸

The cast and crew settled into Ravensprings Holiday House, the grand Victorian mansion that serves as the film’s central location. Originally developed under the working title Viral Haunt, TAW Entertainment’s horror feature found its dark, supernatural tone instantly amplified by the building’s grand rooms, narrow corridors, and naturally unsettling atmosphere.

Miranda Jane Mohit, serving as Art Director, grounded the production in a chilling sense of realism, filling the space with blood‑smeared, brutally convincing props. Sarah Ellen, the MUA, crafted a hand‑cut wound with painstaking precision, building it layer by layer until it felt disturbingly real. Details like this help sell the horror long before any visual effects are added. Combined with the crew’s use of darkness, strobes, and gas effects, the mansion’s rooms were transformed into something far more sinister.

What became clear throughout the shoot was the sheer amount of work required to create a single scene. Script read‑throughs, rehearsals, makeup and costume preparation, lighting adjustments, and sound checks all played a part. Capturing these behind‑the‑scenes moments offered a rare look at how tension, fear, and psychological horror are carefully constructed long before the camera starts rolling.

The cast delivered gripping performances throughout the shoot. Natasha Tosini, Stephen Staley, Kelly Rian Sanson, Jack Hoy, Will Wickham, and Jack Hyde fully immersed themselves in the film’s escalating dread.
