CLASH COURSE IN PATTERN

Four slipper chairs. Two in a modern Greek key pattern, two in a multi-color striped pattern. All in one living room.

Pattern mixing is what stimulates a space. It gives the eye somewhere to land. Here, switching patterns from one seating zone to another defines each area. Nobody has to explain it. You just feel it.

Some people call that clashing. I call it a room with a distinctive point of view.

Would you dare put clashing or multiple patterns together in the same room?

A LIVING ROOM YOU CAN ACTUALLY LIVE IN

That’s how most Great Rooms end up. All that open space, and somehow it never feels welcoming and inviting.

This one’s zoned with intention. Living and dining share one great room, grounded by a white oak clad ceiling that keeps all that volume from feeling like it’s floating. One zone for living and lounging, one for dining and dishing.

If you’re new here, Follow Me if you like interior spaces that tell a story and welcome you to stay awhile.

EIGHTEEN MINUTES FROM INSTALL DISASTER

The Houston warehouse closes in eighteen minutes. My client’s bed is still on the dock. We’re still an hour and a half away.

Most designers say they handle the unexpected. Most mean they’ll make a phone call. I mean I’ll rent a U-Haul and drive four hours to fix it myself, if I need to.

Two days before this Dallas install, I found out the primary bed wouldn’t arrive in time. So I drove to Houston and back to Dallas to get it, which cost me the day I’d set aside to double check everything else. Sure enough, the nightstands and rug turned up missing too. My client watched me handle it live. On the phone with the warehouse. Directing installers. No panic, just working through it until the room was right.

Here’s what nobody tells you about installs: the plan is never the whole story and rarely goes to plan, even with the best intentions. What matters is who’s still standing there when it falls apart.

If you want a guide who negotiates, solves problems, and gets it done, not just someone who shows up to fluff the pillows, DM me to book a Discovery Call.

FRENCH BLUES, DALLAS CHARM

Some kitchens just need a fresh coat of paint. This one needed someone to tell its story.

I got the call to join my client’s extended team in Dallas, working alongside her contractor and his crew, to help pull this kitchen’s full potential into focus. She’s in Dallas. I’m in Kansas City. We didn’t meet in person until install day, and honestly, it didn’t really matter at all.

The La Cornue range became the heart of it all. French blues carried through the kitchen, and we styled it accordingly for a chef and baker’s kitchen, down to the smallest delectable detail.

I love this part of the work. Coming in, seeing what a space wants to become, and helping guide it there. And if there’s a Will, there’s a way, wherever your home happens to be.

If your home has a story waiting to be told, I’d love to hear about it. Send me a DM!

INSIDE OUR SUMMER DESIGN EVENT

“From Tile to Tabletop” landed the way I wanted it to. Here’s what our guests took away from it.

This reel is a compilation of what our guests took away from the event. Some walked away thinking differently about their own spaces. Others said it changed how they want to guide clients through the design journey, not just hand them a finished room.

Thank you to UrbAna Home & Gift for hosting us for this summer design event , and to Amy Sanders of International Materials of Design for sharing the ‘real’ real stories behind tile.

FROM TILE TO TABLETOP
One Kitchen, Two Worlds, A Whole Story In Between.

There’s a kitchen coming together right now that started with a memory of Malaysia. I want to show you how it got built, tile by tile.

Comment TILE and I’ll send you the link, or Tap the Link in Bio to reserve your seat. Seats are going Taylor Swiftly!

Selecting tile is honestly one of the most overwhelming parts of any renovation. Most people default to safe just to get through it. This event is for anyone who’s ever felt that overwhelm, or anyone who’s simply curious what it’s like to work with a designer from the very first idea to a room that fully reflects the homeowner.

On July 26th, I’m walking through the real process behind this kitchen renovation - the tile, the material choices, and the story behind all of it. International Materials of Design joins us for the practical side, what actually holds up in a home and what to avoid before you commit to anything.

We’ll also be setting a summer table using UrbAna’s imported handcrafted and storied dinnerware collections, the same pieces you can shop before and after the workshop for your own summer gatherings.

Sunday, July 26th
4:00–6:00 PM
UrbAna Home & Gift, Prairie Village, KS
$50 per person, includes light bites and summery mocktails

DINNERWARE WITH A PASSPORT
A plate can take you somewhere before you take your first bite.

Comment TILE and I’ll send you design event details.

Meet Mackenzie, General Manager at UrbAna. In this clip, she’s sharing handcrafted dinnerware from Portugal and Italy. Each one carries a sense of place with it.

That’s the inspiration behind this whole event. I’ve recently started a kitchen renovation for a homeowner who wanted her space to feel like home. For her, home was Malaysia, with a little English countryside mixed in. So we’re developing a kitchen that’ll hold both.

That project is what sparked this conversation. Global Design, Travel & Summer Tablescapes is about the same thing on a smaller scale. A table set with pieces from somewhere else, still built for the people sitting around it.

Because that’s what dining really is. Not just a meal. A reason to slow down, sit together, and remember it later.

Join us and UrbAna Home & Gift, along with International Materials of Design, for ‘From Tile to Table’ on Sunday, July 26th, 4 to 6 PM in Prairie Village. Limited seating for an intimate gathering.

FROM TILE TO TABLETOP
Global Design, Travel & Summer Tablescapes

Have you ever fallen in love with a space and couldn’t quite explain why?

Sometimes it’s a story. A journey, a memory, something collected while traveling far from home.

Comment TILE and I’ll send you the link.

On July 26, I’m leading a Design Conversation with UrbAna Home & Gift and International Materials of Design. We’re tracing tile across Portugal, Malaysia, and Morocco, and showing how those places shaped a real kitchen renovation of mine.

UrbAna is at the heart of it. Their space is where we’re gathering, and after the talk, you’ll get time to browse their collections in person. Think Portuguese dinnerware, handcrafted serveware, and tabletop pieces that make even a weeknight dinner feel like something special. If you haven’t spent time in their store yet, this is the moment.

You’ll see the mood boards and material choices behind the kitchen project. And you’ll get real guidance on choosing tile for your own home.

📆 - Sunday, July 26th, 4 to 6 PM.
📍 - UrbAna Home & Gift, Prairie Village, KS
🎟️ - $50 per person.
🧀 - Light Summery Bites

Seats are limited on purpose to keep it intimate and casual.

YOUR HOME SHOULD EVOLVE ALONG WITH YOU

When a space stops feeling like home, it’s usually because it stopped moving alongside you as you continued evolving.

This first-floor renovation transformation started with beautiful classic architectural bones but finishes and a color palette that had simply run its course.

He’s an architect who lives for clean lines and midcentury logic. She wanted color to uplift her spirit and that layered vibe that makes a space feel truly lived in. Two very different perspectives. One home. One vision that could hold them both.

We created a warmed palette that ignited fire energy, modern upholstery furnishing, fresh window and wall coverings, and styling touches that made each room feel like it was always meant to look this way.

This is the work of Will Brown Interiors as well as @mp360designandbuild . Finding harmony in the details. Intention in every room. If your home feels stagnant, disconnected, or just not quite you anymore, start here.

Comment GUIDE below and I’ll send over my 2026 Design Planning Guide that outlines how I approach my design process.
