✨PLASA 2026 is over — and what a blast it was once again✨
New connections were made, and networking happened across the board! A huge thank you to Leela Otremba for looking after the stand whenever 'we weren’t ‘home’, to Abby Shum for a fascinating talk on being a touring laserist, and — last but certainly not least — to Grace Griffin & Ost for making our stand look fabulous! ❤️
A couple of highlights were two of the new connections we made. First, Kazumi from Japan, who has been the only female Japanese rigger for almost 43 years — and who has, at times, quite literally had to fight for her place in the industry.
And then there was Rin, who had to flee her home because of war and is now in London, where she is developing Crewed, an app designed to make everyday life a little easier for freelancers.
🌱But we were also part of two incredibly interesting panels. One was a panel on Childcare On Tour? organised by LSi and so beautifully conducted by Rob — and, quite by coincidence, featuring two expectant mums! 👶 (congrats Katie Melua & Olive Olin)
The other panel was ‘Imposter Syndrome vs Gaslighting on the Gig’. And honestly — when a former monitor engineer from Morrissey can say “I suffer from imposter syndrome, but I still get through the show”, then surely there’s hope for all of us! 😉

📣Aaaaand then… something really exciting happened for WILM during the show! We’ll be announcing some great news very soon — but can you guess what it is from looking at the pictures? 👀

EXCLUSIVE #DOCTORWHO STAGE SHOW CONTENT!

To all those who have donated/will donate to our Crowdfund, regardless of amount, will receive a link to the ONLY Tech-Rehearsal we did for ‘Out of Plot’!

We had less time, as a full cast/crew than you may expect! So I’ve put together a full 30 minute run with fun facts, mess-ups and inexplicably Dominic G. Martin as a Dalek.

Donate ANYTHING today to watch ‘Out of Plot’ in a whole new way!

👉Meet CLOCK Sector Expert & Peer Reviewer ✨ Will Fenton ✨
@willfento

Why did you decide to join the Sector Expert Bootcamp?
👉 “I did a bootcamp for a company looking to build a profession training program for sale to external clients in live music. They wanted to look at the clock system of learning to underpin those qualifications. So I approached it entirely as an academic development exercise.”

What surprised you most about the programme or about yourself during the process?
👉 “The nature of the reflective processes embedded in the program completely squashed a long term case of imposter syndrome I’d had. It rewired the way I was approaching my work from view of professionalising my activities and forced me to examine the wider economic and social context of the way I was working, I didn’t expect it to have such a profound effect on my thinking.”

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking of joining the programme?
👉 “Trust the process. Before I undertook this kind of deeply reflective study I hadn’t realised how counter intuitive the world of work can be.”

Well what a whirlwind - back from Glastonbury after 12 days. A very different one for me this year being 7 months pregnant and the heat 🥵

But I bossed it 💪🏼 which I’m so proud of. Couldn’t have done this without my amazing crew who I love to bits.

Also, to the amazing YouTube team who trust me with this activation and supported me throughout it all. Special shout out to my boss @lizziedicko who is a true legend.

Highlight was seeing @doechii 🔥

Pregnancy and upcoming motherhood won’t slow this biatch down lol.

Until 2027 Glasto ✌🏼

This tune shifts shape every time we play it, but this night felt extra special—so we had to release it. Huge love to our extended stage family who brought this to life. Fingers crossed you’ll be seeing a lot more of them, with even bigger lineups and fresh music. 💛

Out on all the platforms and full video on YouTube

P.S. We’ve got a shit tonne of new music coming this year… get ready 💋
