Sometimes all you need is to turn it off and on again. 💖🍦🤌

Three nights under the Italian sun was the perfect reboot. No alarms, no structured sessions, unlimited vitamin D. ☀️ As an athlete, I’ve learned what I gain mentally from mini pauses far outweighs any short-term dip in fitness. And that mental recharge is exactly what I know I will need if I want to push hard to the end of the year and dig in to the hurt come racing again.

Part 2 of my season has been slightly delayed with this knee, but time away has left me feeling clear, motivated and just ready for what’s next. 🇮🇹🔋

This sport has given me so so much. Through it I’ve travelled to insane places, made life long friends and had an incredible time on and off the bike.

There were very shit bits, there always is and I’m very excited to leave those parts behind. But I am also incredibly humbled that I got to do this for so long, but when it’s your time, it’s your time.

I can’t thank everyone enough who has been involved, there’s too many thank from the sponsors, managers, and team mates of past, then the unrelenting support of friends and family who got me to where I am.

Cycling will continue to give me a lot, but as for the racing career, that’s it done.

With a new chapter on the horizon, it means the ending of another, though in this case, it could’ve been a whole book!

I felt so lucky back in 2013 to be joining what was a shop team at the time with @pedalheaven, ran by @craigpeter4, with my old mate @maximilianstedman_. To be given a bike and kit was mind blowing for me at the time, and had some amazing trips that first year alongside teammate at the time(!!) @timelv and now legends of the sport like @trainsharpchris 🚀

Year by year, the team grew and developed as I did as a rider in symmetry. Trips abroad became the regular, and I will miss the times spent on the road with the boys to races.

I’ve been lucky to have shared parts of the journey along with way with so many great people. And luckier still to have done the whole thing with @timelv, who I can honestly say I would never have made it this far without. I will be forever grateful to him for putting up with my tantrums and having the patience and belief in me 🙏🏻

I leave the team in a better place than when I joined it. They’re now the UKs best domestic teams, and one of the best conti teams in Europe. And are continuing to grow still 🚀🚀 see you on the road @wiv_sungod #LTGTR

8 seasons, 2 @timelv lead teams and a head full of memories, more than Instagram can handle.

I am incredibly sad to be leaving what has become my second family but am very excited for the next step in my career.

For now, I am reflecting fondly on what has been a huge part of my cycling life so far...💙💚

WOW WHAT A @giroditaliau23. A race that has truly blew our minds again. In a year with such much uncertainty @_marcoselleri and his team pull off the a unbelievable event!
🥳🥳
We came into the race with big hopes and expectations....... but unfortunately some awful luck in the first few days with bad weather took 3 riders from the team, guys we missed a lot......We battled on.........

Paul Wright then got in a 4 man break that was going to the line only to puncture 20km out. But then getting lost for 2 hours after the stage......
😭
Mason had shown some series form coming in...... but to crash twice and have several mechanicals in the first 2 days blew any GC hopes......
💪
But then we come to @calum_johnston98!!!! 12th on GC what a ride, the whole team is so proud, even with those little noises you make when your going hard 😂
This is cycling and unfortunately the bad luck comes and in our case in bucket loads...... but don’t you worry we will be back!!!!! @giroditaliau23 you are the best...... thank you ❤️

Tour of Bulgaria ✅ Such a solid team performance all week 👊🏼 3rd in the team comp. (we didn’t get our podium photo so these will do) 🧡

Personally pleased with 4th on GC as well as 4th on a stage despite the flatter than expected terrain all week. Worked hard to get Reece two top 10’s including a podium. 💪🏼
