quick workout, followed by a 5 mile bicycle ride 🤸🏻‍♂️ only took a few breaks this time and I’m getting way better at going up steep hills 🥹🚴🏻 took a break from muscle ups so the kipping is real 🥲 but w winter I have plenty of free time coming up to lock tf in, eat, sleep an recover to unlock more skills 🫶🏻

how it started -> how it’s going
always choose YOU

also this is my first unassisted muscle up one year sober and almost 40 lbs gained 🥹 i almost cried.

I couldn’t even hang on the bar for a second and I weighed 102lbs my first time in the gym. But I knew I wanted the strength I saw other people had whe they did muscle ups beside me.

I know to some people this isn’t a huge year transformation but I have never been above 120 lbs and I have never gone a year without alcohol since the age of 14… sometimes your wins are huge for you but social media makes us feel so behind. Being 100 lbs and regular drinker, I honestly didn’t know if I would live to see a day like this where I felt healthy mentally AND physically.

I LOVE calisthenics bc these little wins keep me motivated, and I never thought I would ever have an athletic bone in my body. Thank you to the people who posts their sobriety and fitness journeys, they inspire me to keep going and they inspired me to start 🙏
