Because “Wild World” is not just an album but the beginning for new chapters in life, the tool to describe a feeling or a thought and a place to find joy and understanding.

Hard to pick just one song to make a little something for this occasion, but definitely this one is just beautiful and meaningful for a huge part of the fandom, so here’s a tiny and humble project to celebrate not only the 10th anniversary of this masterpiece, but also those “anchors” that all of us have to keep us sane, safe, beloved and disconnected from the chaos around.

Making an exception in text for this anniversary.

Pretty sure you are already done with this page praising WW every time it can 😅 but, it really is special to us.

Founder of Bastille MX knew about Bastille’s existence since around 2012-2013, the rest around 2013-2015 but wasn’t until the Wild World era that we all came together mostly because more than half of the OG team already knew about the others sporadically because of being (hardcore) fans from a band that decided to part ways at the end of 2015, so Bastille and their new era starting to build felt like a home and vessel for the amount of love, dedication and “obsession” we could give as fans.

We were all in the same page by the beginning of the WW campaign so we invested our everything to this band, this album and this page. We became huge friends, we met in person (we live in different cities), we traveled together for them or because of them, we spent happily our time and money on these 4 British guys and we were consumed by the greatness of the WWCOMMS Universe.

We love BB, DD and GMTF of course, but simply don’t think we would have fallen in love with Bastille and everything around them if it wasn’t for WW and all the construct on this era.

Wild World came just in the right time, in the right place, in the right way and for that, we are so happy to be here 10 years later celebrating this album.

Makeup looks inspired by albums - BASTILLE - Wild World🤍

In first look I tried to paint clouds inspired by the album cover. Second look is more gothic-like, because I wanted to make it more dark, apocalyptic and unsettling, inspired by the poster which is in last slide… nevermind anyways….Happy 10 years to one of the best albums in the whole world - BASTILLE “Wild World.” Without this masterpiece I wouldn’t be a stormer because this album made me to be one. Or maybe, I wouldn’t be the woman I am right now at all. Dearest @bastilledan, you are an absolute genius because even after 10 years I still believe that this album and this band is the best thing that happened to me in music world or maybe even in my whole life. Absolutely wildest guys you are @woodybangsthedrums @kjesimmons @williamfarquarson @charliebarnesmusic thank you for making something unimaginably amazing and unforgettable. ❤️

An album about trying to make sense of a world that felt loud, divided and frightening. And somehow, ten years later, it feels just as relevant as it did then.

But somewhere along the way, these songs became more than an album. They became places, people, friendships, nights we never wanted to end and moments we still carry with us.

Ten years later, the songs are still the same – but none of us are.
