Dear Heavenly Father,
The world has so much darkness. Night shadows creep over us, blinds our steps and we can’t see the way to go. Please teach us how to walk by faith and not by sight. Please let your Word work in us and overpower the dark, the pain, the uncertainty. Let faith multiply in us as we walk through shadowed valleys and murky midnights. Keep us till your morning comes. Thank you. In Jesus’s name, amen.

Dear Father God, sometimes, we take your giving for granted. You jumpstart the mornings with breath in our lungs and sun rays in our windows. We move through the earth gathering food you created and meeting friends who thrive by your power. You gift us with life and every second it is at work in us. And you gave us a heart so that we can love You, others and ourselves. Your most amazing gift is Your Son! He chose to unselfishly pay the price for wrong. Our wrongs. You gave Him to us because you love deeply and want us to be with you. Forever. Thank you so so much for giving to us. In Jesus’s name, amen

Dear Heavenly Father, You invented time. We measure its movement when the sun, moon and stars pass over our heads. Please guide us as we move through thousands of sunrises. Please speak to our hearts when we pass through a lifetime of midnights. Please let a million minutes pass through your hands as you sustain us. And let every second move our hearts closer to yours. Thank you. In Jesus’s name, amen.

When the marine layer settles over SoCal, we shun the mist but it settles so beautifully over the trees.
