“In the same way that a strong fog eventually subsides; hard times in life will always fall to the side.”💯 • About 2 years ago, I lived in Dallas and my life was up in the air. I had a million things I wanted to do, but no clear path to follow. I knew everybody around me and to anyone that didn’t know me, I was the man in my city. • Reality is, I was lost beyond comprehension. I was drinking and partying most days throughout the week. I didn’t know how to say “No” to anybody. I broke the trust of my friends, shamefully avoided my family, took advantage of great connections I had, and let everybody that believed in me down. I felt abandoned, but in reality, I’d unconsciously isolated myself. • Today though…I live in Bellevue, Washington. I am going on 5 months sober. However, this time, it came unexpectedly. I turned down a drink one night and haven’t had an urge to partake since. It’s almost as if my body knew it was time. I am in a strong relationship with my best friend/girlfriend whom pushes me and refuses to let me drag my feet. I’ve began repairing friendships with people that have always meant a lot to me. (Works a bit better when it’s to no benefit other than love for one another.) I’ve recently passed my Washington Real Estate Exam and have began coaching again. Both are things that bring me happiness. Most importantly though, I am a man of my word and I stand on my principles. • This is simply a little update for those that care. I’m not living a perfect care free life, but I am living a good life. I have people that build each other up around me. I have a direction in which I walk in life each day. I am able to own my past highs and lows every single day. I’m still back and forth on my purpose in this life, but I do know that if I keep moving forward, it’ll soon shine clear through the fog. • SHOUTOUT TO THE PEOPLE THAT DIDN’T GIVE UP ON ME EVEN WHEN I WANTED TO GIVE UP ON MYSELF.❤️👑💯 #DREAM #TexasForever #ArkansasMade #TexasRaised #WashingtonStateLiving
